Well Evelyn has ruined my week yet again; still waiting to enter the build phase. My original ship date was 2/13. I emailed my dealer this week and they contacted their Chrysler rep. Supposedly mine is going to be built and ship next week (not holding my breath). Though seeing @Back2Jeep and @Dahammer's recent posts makes me hopeful my 11/22 GWIII order will be more than heaps of expensive paperweights soon...

In other news, the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show kicks off tomorrow. You know there's going to be a fully loaded GWIII there full of stupid people and I will have a hard time just getting to sit in it. I should really time my visit shortly after an Evelyn email so I'll already be annoyed and just knock all the dumbf**ks out of it and lock the doors. 😂😂

Chin up, Stellantis went to 12 hour shifts and added hundreds of extra help for the Warren MI plant which builds Wagoneers and RAM1500s. The sooner your GWIII gets ready to ship, the sooner mine will be ready. 😅

2/25/2022 Weekly E-Mail Blast from Michael at WCS reads-I checked up on your Order Status, Vehicle shows to be at it's last Stage, where the Shipment has been Approved and we are working on getting ETA's for when the Vehicle will actually get there, current ETA shows TBD, I will check back next week for any new changes, thank you.
My best guess is I'll hear from the salesman at the dealership in a week or two as an update when he thinks it will arrive.

I know some dealers just flat out don’t honor FCA affiliate pricing. I had to shop around to find one that wasn’t price gouging and was willing to order one with the discounts. When I contacted FCA they said sorry that some were not participating and to keep checking around.
It took me an arm and a leg to get the code from my company. As a back-up plan I did the tread lightly membership 2 months ago. On the FCA Affiliate site it says that the dealer we're using has sold 5 cars this year through the program. When I was speaking with some of the sales staff prior to ordering or GW they were dismissive toward my questions. The group of guys told me most people walk in with a blank check to buy the GWs and don't even look at the sticker or bother with affiliate programs. These men were so sure of themselves and frankly rude that I was willing to go to another dealership. Generally I am the one who negotiates our vehicle purchases for the family. I quite enjoy the process, however I cannot stand a smug salesperson. His final comment to me as we walked out was that we should be able to afford it without any discounts since we drive a Land Rover. I replied, "If you were trained like a salesperson at a Land Rover dealership, I would've already placed my order." Then my husband made me leave 😬 🤣

Ultimately we ordered - sitting in the D1 stage without a build date posted. Im just patiently waiting and loving my LR4 everyday - which I am not trading in.

This is so true and welcome to the CJDR dealership experience (not all are like this; just most). I’m used to BMWs and the dealership experience is so drastically different. One of the biggest things holding the Wagoneer “brand” back is the inability of its dealership network to provide a luxurious experience.

Not intending to sound like a snob here (even though I mostly am one LOL) but in no world is the average customer in that dealer you went to bringing in a blank check and not bothering to check numbers. Chrysler Capital - their dedicated financing arm - is rebranded Santander. The Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer client is not exactly their target market 😂

Well another Tuesday and another email from Evelyn letting me know there's no update to my vehicle, that it's still waiting to enter the production phase (they've had all the parts and it's been waiting to enter production for 2+ months now). My latest shipping date provided of 2/27/2022 has come and gone as all the previous ones have.

I know Jeep/Wagoneer is really trying here but this ordering experience has been nothing but a shit show. Literally no one - not Wagoneer Client Services or the dealer - has any clue what's going on. I feel a little foolish complaining with all the craziness going on out there in the world. I'm really grateful to be healthy and live in this amazing country (regardless of all the fools who try as they may to tear her down; don't even get me started LOL). As much as I make sarcastic comments that suggest otherwise, I really am okay waiting; it's fun to have something to look forward to. My Grand Wagoneer is replacing my Lincoln Aviator and my Ram 1500 - I sold both in November and December and made a nice chunk of change. I've got another car so I'm okay waiting for a bit. All first world problems, I know, I know...

I just really wish someone could give me a solid timeframe. I've factory ordered five vehicles in the past few years. I realize that they're different manufacturers but with each order I left with solid dates and the updates were mostly accurate. Two of the orders were while covid and the chip shortage were raging and still the experiences were vastly different to my experience with Jeep. My dealer contacted their Chrysler rep last week to see what's going on. They agreed that it's taking a while but couldn't provide any explanation as to what the hold-up is or when I would see my car, not even an estimate - they even said they're just hoping the plant doesn't shut down again at this point. Like why TF would it shut down again? Our overlords have finally decided covid isn't benefiting them anymore and the science has magically changed, all of my parts are sitting there, there's an abundance of jobs available, why would the plant close again? My dealer has a fully loaded series III Grand Wagoneer in their showroom that's been sitting there unsold since early December. There are Wagoneers/Grand Wagoneers all over the country when I search on AutoTrader sitting and available. The Wagoneers even have factory incentives on them in my area so sales have clearly slowed down a bit. Aren't customer orders being prioritized? It feels like they're just pulling VINs out of a hat and deciding with no rhyme or reason which vehicles they want to build on any given day. And I'm sorry, for Chrysler corporate to come back and say they have no idea why or what's going on is ridiculous in my opinion. How does the manufacturer not know? Probably all millennials over there. And I say that as a millennial myself who hates being one - we ruin everything LOL.

Meanwhile, it's almost tune up time for my lawn mower here in Wisconsin. I have a trailer to tow it on but no vehicle to tow it with. I'll have to post a video of myself riding it into town while simultaneously cussing Evelyn out for all of our enjoyment since I clearly won't have a vehicle anytime soon 😂 😂

My kindred spirit... for you it's Evelyn, for me it changed to Adrian a few weeks ago with the exact same message. Worse, we see VINs that are newer than ours being sold at dealerships, so yes, our first world problems are mounting. 😆 At least we have a forum to get it 'off our chests'. Sadly my lawnmower isn't a riding one, so I'll be 'hoofing' it into town. ;)

When my order was at 3 months I finally called Client services and they opened up a vehicle open order status case. Whatever that means. Up until that point I had been receiving the same weekly update with no updates. I then reached out to Kate at Wagoneer FB page via messenger and she confirmed a case was opened when I sent the following message on Feb 2.

“Why can’t client services give me a production date on my order from 11-2? VIN 1C4……………….
VON:518……….

I understand it could be a blessing in disguise since there are continued software updates, etc but I am sure not feeling that I am an important customer.”

Response from Kate

“Congratulations on your order, Domenick! With your VIN I can see that a Vehicle Order Status case is already opened for you in our system and a case manager has been providing you update emails. For your notes, this is case number 81163691 and per the last update; there is not current ETA to provide but the case manager is looking into all options to expedite. That said, I updated the case notes to reflect your outreach to me here and as soon as new information is received, your case manager will email again.

As of last Friday, per my dealer, my WSIII 4x4 had been built. As of today’s update from client services, Adrian, it is still awaiting to be released by the plant but is in the final stage undergoing QC.

I should tell them how extremely disappointed our Great Great Great Great (x39) Theo Socrates would be in their lack of critical thinking. I’m toying around with having the gals at church track Evelyn down and give her the evil eye while I continue to wait… 😂

In all honesty, I really am impressed that they have an actual individual assigned to provide updates. I would love some sort of tracking system but the extra, more personal touch is nice and kudos to the Evelyn’s and the Adrian’s out there. Evelyn and I just have a love-hate relationship going on right now LOL.

That’s so exciting! You’ll have to post some pics when it shows up which hopefully is soon!

I have put my order out of my mind and will be very happy and surprised when it shows up. Plus when things are back to normal and you can just order a car without a care in the world I'll have a cool story about my beloved Grand Wagoneer, and how I had to walk uphill both ways to get it :D
Yes!

And after reading this forum, hopefully we’ll also get to add “and it didn’t stall on the way back down” to our stories! 😂🙏🏼

Sorry to say that I have checked out. I canceled my order. The delay was unnerving, continual problems being reported here and just the simple lack of communication. I owned luxury automotive brands and this experience was on the opposite end of the spectrum. No infrastructure in place to handle the masses which a simple website with tracking information/updates on your vehicle would have gone a long way. BTW, the competitive brands are also experiencing long waits too. Last weekend I plunked a deposit on a brand (American) that I have never owned but have been in the luxury SUV arena for a long time. We’ll see how this works out. Good luck to all. Maybe I’ll come back in a few years when all of this has been worked out

Guess who has a build sheet as of this morning!!!! This guy right here!!! *points to self*

No window sticker yet but I'm thinking it means I finally am on the assembly line and/or maybe already built. My unreasonable side (arguably my bigger side) wants to drive to Warren and peek in a window and see if I can see it. That would require driving through Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit though; wouldn't want to get shot before I finally get my truck. 101 days and counting since ordering so maybe this is just a mirage...

I'm really bummed to read this but completely get it. I've never experienced such a poor excuse for an ordering process, especially from a brand trying to play in the luxury segment. Best of luck to you and your Escalade or Navigator (I presume)!

I was hoping maybe both of us would get our cars the same day. Maybe at the same time since we ordered from the same dealership on the same day. However, I perfectly understand how you feel and would have done the same also. Good Luck

Been busy at work this week so finally just getting back on. Last Thursday Michael told me that I was in build. Friday, I thought I’d check to see if it was out through FCA Chat. That was useless, but I got a follow up email saying it was done and ready to ship. Today, I got an update from Michael :

Good Morning

For this week's update, we are currently on the Stage prior to the Factory Plant releasing it, from there we should be looking at actual Shipment of the Vehicle to your Dealer, I will check back next week as usual, thank you

I am silently correcting his grammar. 😉 I’m trying to figure out if that means JS or if it’s a different status code. I asked Michael, but no response yet.
