All those weeks in paint were worth it, so sharp!! šŸ˜
Soooo there are a few swirls!!! Ok, several swirls. The dealer is going to pick up the truck this week and do a clay buffing and redetail. Iā€™m also having a ceramic coating applied. Itā€™s one of those things that made our night drag out.
also, found out that my order did in fact cancel after the first week of paint. So, either I was in the booth during the breakout of your hypothesized fight or we think more than likely they painted it the wrong color. It took two weeks to restart me with a new order and VIN. I brought up to my sales person about the length in paint and she mentioned she saw the order canceled, was confused and then saw it reinstated a week later so didnā€™t say anything. By then WCS had stepped in to ā€œescalateā€ my case so it didnā€™t matter.
either way - this blue was worth the wait!

Does anybody know if sold orders show up as ā€œin-transitā€ on the website? As far as I can tell, my truck was built 3/26, but doesnā€™t show on the Jeep website. Dealer just says it should be in around the end of the month.
My dealers does not put ordered vehicles on their site. I asked last night. If someone sees an ā€œin-transitā€ and purchases at the dealer/on-line/phone they keep it up there until itā€™s off the lot.

So hereā€™s the rub on the new GW - if you want to make it through the walk through and check list before the dealer closes - donā€™t show up at 4:30 šŸ˜‚. Being that weā€™re literally having a baby any day, I get tired way more easily than normal so this process might not take you as long, but still be prepared to being thorough.
We showed up with all of our paperwork and it still took 5 hours to go over everything! @Domshome knows what Iā€™m talking about if he shut down his dealer too!!
I confirmed every TSB, recall and such were handled. Then did the exterior and interior walk throughs. This took about 2 to 3 hours to complete. Of note - itā€™s illegal for them to let a car off the lot without any of these things resolved - at least thatā€™s what I was told when I presented the list of updates!
Then we completed the sale - I used my FCA affiliate pricing. I had the luxury of my company being in the program AND being tread lightly member. You only get to use 1 code but there was no denying my discount. For those out there with a code but dealers pushing back (mine did originally when I ordered), bring a print out of the screen that shows how many vehicles your dealer has sold through the program. I printed this screen to prove they hadnā€™t stopped participating in the program, as they had told me in December. I also had my $1500 rebate printed out from the GW webpage - but they applied this automatically. Finally, the packages changed slightly and this is how they justify the change in sticker pricing. We ordered a GW S1 with bench seat, convenience group and 22ā€ wheels. Total was $96210. The sticker says $98250 ish. The changes come from adding the Fam Cam into the convenience group (maybe one other item there too), the bench seat is now a option you pay for rather than no charge, and wheels and paint went up as well. My dealership honored my build price and took my affiliate discount and rebate off that price. All I did was ask and they took the $2k in upcharges off.
Post paperwork it was another almost 2 hours of going through car set up, learning the assisted park system, and setting up the app. These vehicles have A TON! Iā€™m not used to this much tech so Iā€™m either going to continue down the path to have things 100% dialed in for me, or Iā€™ll get close and just give up because there are almost too many customizations šŸ˜‚

good luck out there everyone and I hope these trains start moving a little quicker!

Well no more names in updates for me either it seems. Honestly, system working or not, do they really know what is going on with my GDubs anyway? Next week will mark 4 weeks in KZ status with no ETA. I was really hopeful for April but perhaps May will be the month for me. Day 145 since ordering and countingā€¦

Plus side, Iā€™m happy to be getting the V8. After seeing the Hurricaneā€™s debut (yawn) in the W/GW L, I have to wonder how much longer the Hemi is going to be offered. Wouldnā€™t be surprised if they ax it for MY 23.

Congratulations on your upcoming family addition!!! Outstanding news, and a great new GW to keep everyone comfortable and safe. All the best to you with your soon-to-be bigger family!

P.S. does this mean I can't do the Air B&B at all now since you'll have an 'extra' passenger? šŸ˜‡

You can as long as the car seats arenā€™t in the way šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. It took me over 24 hours to commit to my toddler being allowed in the GW. I was likening it to the Pool-Pond moment in Caddyshack.

Is that color "Midnight Sky"? To me it just looks black in the photo, but I'm assuming it is more blue in real life.

I really wanted a blue car this go around and ended up going with river rock. It's more grey than I wanted, honestly all of the colors for the GW look muted and don't show well in photos. I've seen a few in person now (red, and the silvery pearl one I forget the name) and they look much better than the website shows.

I was hesitant that my wife would go with the Baltic gray after originally ordering the black. My dealer sent me side by side between gray and black and the color was way off in the picture. When we visited it in person we both liked it and made the switch. I know we both originally wanted a dark blue but it wasnā€™t available at the time (still not on reg W) and had it been, we probably would have paid extra and went with the GW1. Congrats to all that have recently received their Wagoneers and I pray for patience for those who are still waiting and also praying that Stellantis gets their communication to be more detailed.

The earlier picture on page 24 of this thread shows the Blue color more than the one here on this page.

All the colors on the website and most pictures seem to have a challenge in showing the true shades/colors other than white and black of course. I'm wondering, maybe we are all getting lucky and the special paint job is also a Lidar/Ladar jammer making our GW/Ws seem as though we are not even there! I will bet that's what took @LERISI 's vehicle so long in Paint...

If so, it will save a few tickets for some who enjoy the V8 a bit too much. Never me of course... :ROFLMAO:

Happy Easter to all, even though @Costa and I don't understand why you're celebrating a week early šŸ˜‚šŸ‡¬šŸ‡·

Thereā€™s a rebate thatā€™s been popping up for the last day or two on the Wagoneer builder offering $1500 towards the purchase or lease of a Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer. Enter your name, email address, and zip and a code is emailed to you to bring to your dealer. Was once again living vicariously through the builder today and saw the pop up but itā€™s now $2500. Be sure to go and snag this. Says on the rebate that itā€™s good through 6/16/2022 - if my car doesnā€™t show up by then I may have a meltdown LOL.

Thanks for the heads up on the offer. I block popups, so I turned them back on, allowed ads and trackers for the session just to sign up. Hope the offer drops into the inbox shortly. Nice to have that extra 2.5k to cover gas for the first month. šŸ˜

Iā€™m at day 160. We waited 275 days for our JLU 392, so Iā€™ll just be happy if I beat that. šŸ¤£

My GWSIII is built, now I'm just waiting for it to get shipped. Fingers crossed I luck out and it shows up in under 2 weeks!

I have a trip planned in early May, if I have my new car by then I'll road trip instead of fly, although I was looking forward to finally flying again now that masks are gone :D

mine was released for shipping 3/24, moved to a parking lot on 4/6 and then the the tracking ā€œsystemā€ went down and Iā€™m still waiting.

So I called Wagoneer Client Services wanting an update, since the "system" was down for my last weekly update. I don't know if any of you have called but there is a definite attitude with some of these phone reps. I'm a very easy customer and don't complain but if I want an answer on what's up with my $112k vehicle I'm not going to be made to feel like an inconvenience. If I want to call 15 times per day then that's my prerogative LOL. Their system is still down; they have no idea what's going on with any of our vehicles but what else is new.

I emailed that $2500 rebate certificate to my dealer so they could add it to my deal. I told them I hoped my car arrives by the 6/16 rebate expiration date, mostly jokingly because it'll surely arrive before then, right? Since WCS can't update me I asked the dealer for an update (on Saturday). They usually always get back to me right away and didn't this time. Not a big deal but it kind of made me suspect something is up. I heard from them today. They reached out to their regional rep who confirmed what many of us suspected: something happened in March (they wouldn't specify what) that delayed our cars from being released. Mine was built 3/2, and sat until 3/24 when it was approved for shipping. It's been sitting there ever since. According to the dealer's rep there's a huge backlog of cars ahead of all of ours which is creating a ripple of delays. They couldn't even estimate when my car will actually be in-transit let alone arrive at the dealer. I don't even have a shipping assignment yet. Once it actually starts to move, I was told to allow around 30 days transit time to the dealer, a whopping 5 hours from the factory. 30 days?!

The GW was my first choice. One of the big perks to it was that ordering in November it would get to me faster than my second choice (Navigator) if I would've stuck with Lincoln. In retrospect, had I snagged a '22 Navigator build I would've had that about 2 months ago. I really wish I wouldn't have done this, but out of pure curiosity I reached out to two car haulers to get an idea of price and time if I were to pay to have the GW shipped myself. Both told me they're pretty slow right now, and for $400 - $600 they'd have it to my dealer in 48 hours. Of course Jeep would never allow it; that would be silly and efficient and they could keep their ridiculous $2000 destination fee. I told the dealer that if I miss out on my $2500 rebate because of Jeep's ineptness, Jeep is going to still cough up that money or I'm not taking the car. I'm honestly fighting the urge to call Lincoln, order a Navigator, and take whichever arrives first. And I think we all know which one that will be...

Thanks for the comprehensive update @coolerbythelake , that is adding up to what I just got from my Sales person.

The system down is more than just WCS, it hit Jeep's systems for Dealers as well. It is a significant item, I suspect we'll all be reading/hearing about it in the news sources as soon as they clean up the issues and systems are back. So a lot of vehicles were built, stuck in different places for transport. Mine is a 1 hour drive from here, has been for some time due to the systems outage. @Dahammer was fortunate, one of the last to get through along with @LERISI . I may need to start that Air B&B arrangement with Lerisi !!

It could be the $2500 is to help us given this challenge they are having with systems. It could go up, just like the original was 1500, then popped to 2500.

As for the WCS reps, I feel the pain as I've been managing high tech Customer Service/Support for decades, and these situations are just nasty. Every call builds up the uglies all day. Thankfully I never had a sitation this long so I can only imagine it takes a lot not to type out or say 'Congratulations, you are ugly caller 500 for the day. You get a special prize. :poop: '. and then hang up. I could have used other symbols, but everyone can read this including kids, so that's about it. ;)

I'm not sure why nobody is getting their vehicles suddenly. I run through different scenarios from inadequate production, chip shortage, bad chips, software issues, hacked, financial, labor problems, logistics, etc. I really canā€™t come up with what the main problem is or why.

Yes, I got lucky, and I'm enjoying my new vehicle and wish for everyone to get their new ride shortly. I am looking forward to reading everyoneā€™s posting about you and your car's unique experiences.
