Hey gang, I was driving (my old suv) all day yesterday, missed out on your fun. Wow @Dahammer , I know you are reading this AFTER having camped out at the dealer lot all night. Enjoy riding around today, first one to get your sweet ride! Yes, I do expect pictures every day as your 'baby' grows up.

Seeing the other updates, hope you all got the series of emails I did, within 1 hour of each other. I was in final inspection still, then hit shipping and an ETA is being scheduled for delivery. Sorry @coolerbythelake , hope this doesn't make you send one of your cousins or Ya Ya's after me! I didn't do it!

@Back2Jeep seems to be getting good scoop, interesting on the vacuum hose. I'm like Cooler, no worries about a small delay like that, it means when they finish swapping all those hoses, we should have a full train ready to ship! Always finding the pony in a pile, I know. I just am wired that way I guess..... :ROFLMAO:

That's really awesome news! No, you don't need to beware about this Greek bearing any gifts, mine are all sincere for you! Hopefully shipping doesn't take forever. Are you able to see a window sticker yet? I'm trying to figure out if that's immediate or if there's some sort of delay so I know for mine. Not that I check 50 times per day or anything...

I ordered a late availability color and knew my trailer package may conflict with it so my eyes were mostly wide open upon entry. Hopefully that's all that it is and they didn't botch my build up. If they need more time with it to ensure perfection they can have however long they need.

I am on the road so I don't have my normal bookmarks to check the window sticker. I'll dig through the forum as I know you posted it (so I'll search on your posts). After all, I'm in a hotel now with plenty of time to go through your 10k posts from this week alone.

Unlike @Back2Jeep Paige took care of me and provided not one but two updates in two hours! I must say, super happy to have stolen her from you for my updates. :ROFLMAO:

All kidding aside, it was nice to see the updates, we all know WCS has been working overtime with everything we and all the other Owners have been requesting of them. Glad to see this ramp up on people in the group, and the vehicles from we ordering types coming through in a bunch with most if not all the TSBs & CSBs. I think a few of the vehicles that went to inspection just before mine might have had the vacuum hose update caught in inspection, probably done now and will hit the shipping system. If I get any update from the Dealership or WCS on delivery ETA, I will post it.

I see @Dahammer must be out driving still after his delivery today. Not a peep, and frankly when I get mine it will be a few hours before I find the house and a keyboard to update everyone. 😁😇😁😁

I agree on them taking the time to get it right, I have been wondering about all the people who've ordered that were still waiting on the forum versus those who found their perfect vehicles on the lot already done. Could be Stellantis kept holding the orders until issues calmed down like they have on the newer built/delivered ones this year. Hum... would love that data to see if that's what they did...

That bitch Carole Baskin (Paige/Michael) didn’t send my update today. *pout*
THEE CAROLE BASKIN?!

I’m sure this is how many of our update gals look. It’s not far off from how I imagine my Evelyn. Though, I haven’t heard from Evelyn in two weeks. I’ve pondered what could’ve happened to her. I mean, it’s metro Detroit so there’s a good chance a drive by and a 3rd generation, multiple previous owner Escalade are involved but Carole Baskin reminds me that Evelyn could also have been mauled. I always forget about that option! 😂

Yesterday was a busy day for me. While driving over to the dealership, I was reminiscing about the truck that I would exchange for a new vehicle. Out with the old and in with the new. When I arrived got my stuff out of the car. Note* I cleaned out the (truck) at home; however, in the parking lot at the dealership looking her over, I had more (s**t) to remove. What the hell! Walking in, I must have looked like a homeless person with those bags. Hahahaha.
I met with the salesman first, going over paperwork first with the truck then onward to the new vehicle. The salesman then set up my phone for Wagonner Connect and warranty etc. Then we sat in my new car, going over everything like setting up the seats, dashboard, remotes, etc. OMG, the massage seats in the front are AWESOME! It even has a "BOOTY" Massage setting that works while driving. Now I have "Buns of Steel." Hahahahaha
Afterward, then met with the finance lady. Gone over financing, down payments that I made, and extended warranty. She's an extraordinary lady. She is a very knowledgeable person in her field of work. It was pleasurable working with her, and she got me the best financing available for me. After that went back to sales, I watched some videos on operating and setting up my options in the car. Then, the salesman, I went back to the vehicle for more tech info and setting playing. Even the finance lady came and sat in the 2nd row and salesman; I talked about how luxurious my car is and the excellent color choice I made, plus some small talk.

After several hours and paperwork signed, it was all a done deal. Keys were handed over to me and the salesman walked me out. We both took some pictures and said so long. Till the next time..IMG_1454.jpegIMG_1457.jpeg

My car was built on 2/22/22 and left the factory. Even tho WCS email said the 18th. This past Monday my car arrived at the dealership on 3/14/22. So from Michigan To New York, it took about 20 days in transportation by rail and vehicle transport combined.

We ordered our WS2 on January 4th. Our dealer sends us weekly updates. Last Friday it was built and in inspection. For this week’s update, he said that the dealership has been notified that all Wagoneers have just been put on hold/stop progress until the end of the month. Anyone else hearing the same thing?

Not a word. I'll hammer my Salesman tomorrow morning before the weekend crowd starts, see what I can find out. Wonder if that Vacuum hose issue had them on hold until they swap them out of the most recent ones. That should be a very short delay at most I would think... End of the month also sounds like the typical fill up a train car process, not a delay. I'll provide any update I get from my Saleman.

This is very interesting. My GW3 was built 03/02 and I’ve been sitting in JS status for a while and I wonder if this is why. WCS chat told me today I’m pending shipping assignment. I emailed my dealer to see what they’ve heard but haven’t heard back yet.

Yesterday I drove around town enjoying the ride and put about 60 miles on the vehicle. The GWS3 has a sounding muffler system (meaty), and I like it. My family told me they heard me coming up the driveway. As for pick-up, I'll say it's got a lot of power (balls), and I'm re-learning the sensitivity of the gas pedal and matching MPG. I noticed at times the dash would let me know she was running on four cylinders instead of 8. So that's a good thing economy-wise. For the 1st 100 miles, I got 11.9 MPG. The engine is VERY responsive to my foot. NICE!
The salesman did a good job setting up my vehicle and had no issues. XM radio, FM, AM, work. The 23 speaker sound system is impressive to me (I have hearing loss occupational), and my family was having a blast with it also.

The side steps are well made, but beware if you parallel park by a curb, give your car some extra room to the curb, sidesteps extend past the tires, and I feel they could get damaged when engaged or not be by retracting back.
See pictures.
As I drive, I'll keep everyone posted and look forward to everyone, especially (@Costa, @coolerbythelake) getting your vehicles and sharing the joy with all and FYIs.

Oh, one more thing, before you sign, ask the salesman if any tchotchkes are given from the dealership/factory like key rings, free once a month car wash, all-weather mats, etc. My dealership said none are given except when the car is serviced. They will wash it. It doesn't hurt to ask them.

Excellent first drive experience! Can't wait to hear that V8 in my driveway let alone going down the road.
Good Salesman, that is what they are supposed to do for all Wagoneer/GW owners. Great to see a Dealership stepping up like they should. Maybe it will help them if you drop a note to WCS, let them know so they have the 'good' list along with the bad and ugly. ;)

You hit an item I hadn't thought of, curbs with the extending running boards. Since it goes lower when you park to get out, it will drop the boards onto the curb. Worse would be extending them into the curb making a real mess.

And before you sign it is the right time to push for Tchotchkes, something to 'take the edge of gas prices' sound like a dialog mine will hear. They get free advertizing anyway with their name on it, etc.

Keep driving, I'm sure others will post pics and first experiences too. You know @coolerbythelake and I will. 😁😁😁 'Keep it in D!'
