Still in "released for shipping, not carrier assigned yet" or something like that. Looks like no pre-Christmas delivery.

anyone out there tracking their vehicle?? My last couple of cars the manufacturer made it very easy to track your car online through the build process. BMW did this exceptionally well. Waiting for that 1 email a week from WCS with very little detail sucks. I am starting to see dealers lots starting to fill with these vehicles but am leary on jumping on one due to all the issues that have been listed. I figure by the time they build mine some of the quirks will be resolved

The juice is worth the squeeze. The problems: don't be freaked out. While some are major - most of the units are problem free and FCA/Stellantis and most dealers are jumping through their butts to fix the issues. Responsive. With the inventory on lots - I'm not sure why most are still "ordering and waiting"

Sitting here waiting for my GW to get a scheduled production date and asking myself that very question. Unless much has changed in the past few weeks, many dealers (at least around here in WI) were only discounting on factory orders and nothing for dealer stock. I had to search a bit to find a local dealer willing to let me use my work discount. And that was order only. I guess a bright side is that any of the early bugs and issues will hopefully be sorted out when it comes time for mine to be built. 5 weeks and a day since I ordered and “still gathering parts” is what I’m told by WCS. Not that I’m counting or obsessing over any of this or anything… 😂

Hello,

Today (12/29/21) I ordered a Grand Wagoneer Series III with all options except the middle seat in the 2nd row. I’m looking forward to getting my VIN. The dealer told me 14 weeks but I’m trying to prepare myself mentally for a June delivery. I did get the EP discount after searching multiple dealers that were up-charging the Wagoneers inventory they have on their respective lots and not honoring any EP pricing.

Thanks for all the information sharing, it’s been helpful. A couple questions… is there a legend of status codes that are being referenced herein (e.g. BX, D, C, etc.)?

How do I get in touch with GW Concierge? Thanks!

happy new year

Yikes, @who_dog ! Hope the dealer is resolving and doing PDI for you soon (to include open campaigns and updates). Congrats on the order. Send pics when you take ownership!
I picked up the car after a 6+ month delivery process. My first impressions are great. It drives well and everything is working as expected; we are happy campers. Looking forward to sharing more in other threads.

Build codes are below. You can call Wagoneer Client Services at 833-667-4825 and have them check on your order status. You’ll need your VON from your dealer order. WCS leaves much to be desired so be forewarned. I’ve had several BMWs and WCS in an absolute joke in comparison. Some of their reps have been great but it’s really hit or miss. I’ve been told by several that they’re no longer able to provide status codes; I’ve only been able to get them from my dealer. But fortunately you can kind of figure it out by their responses. I had my VIN within 24 hours of ordering and I’ve been stuck in the scheduling phase for almost 6 weeks now. Welcome to the club!

BUILD CODES:

Unscheduled:
BA – order entered in system by dealer
BB – fleet order only – review by bid department
BD – special equipment processing
BE – edit error – coding error which must be corrected before order can be scheduled
BG – order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status
BX – good order available for scheduling

Reason Codes:
F – Finance hold – automatic cancellation after 15 days
B – Model or option build out. Your order exists but isn't fully confirmed yet. Plant doesn't know about it yet. Systems are checking the order to ensure it's valid in terms of sales codes.
L – Material restriction
M – Material hold (fleet)
ZA – canceled order

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number (VIN) assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production, est. ship date assigned.
The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.
D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

Build:
E – Framing. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.
F – Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clearcoated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.
G – Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

Built:
I – unit built, pending final inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.
J – Vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
JB – shipped to body vendor. JB/KZP-The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.
JE – shipped to emissions
JJ – consigned to body vendor
JS – shipped to storage
KZ – released by plant and invoiced. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck. As you all know, this can be a source of delay. Typically you see me put two statuses here: Awaiting Shipment and "Staged for Shipment".

Traffic Codes:
KZ L – released but not shipped KZ M – first rail departure
KZ N – first rail arrival
KZ O – delayed/received
KZ OA – plant hold, quality audit
KZ OB – zone, dealer, sales, vehicle prep, tax, diversion or derailment hold, dealer refusal, vehicle diverted
KZ OC – carrier delay, strike-bound, emission or safety hold, rail car shortage, bad or insufficient load, inclement weather, need shipping order, manifest error
KZ OD – mechanical failure, glass damage, vehicle in repair, lacking parts or storage hold
KZ OE – misdropped or misshipped vehicle
KZ OF – shipped air freight, stolen vehicle recovered, show vehicle, test info code, vessel sailed
KZ OG – damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction
KZ OH – all other “O” type carrier codes
KZ T – second rail departure
KZ U – second rail arrival
KZ X – delivered to dealer
KZ Y1 – major damage – must not be sold as new
KZ Y2 – major damage – vehicle sold at auction
KZX - Delivered to your dealer

Just ordered a GWS1 today from a very small dealer. Dealer said VIN should be assigned within two weeks - hoping for delivery in four months.
I had the VIN 2 days after the order. The rest of the time (1-month) I have been getting updates that no change is status has been made. My dealer told me 2-3 months. After reading the threads on this site it looks like it will be a long wait. Dont shoot the messenger

@OrangeWhipX3 - curious if there are other dealers in the region with "in-stock" inventory that you could have DX'd to your dealer? I for one, am not patient enough for builds😂😂. I'm hearing/seeing many builds taking 4+ months for delivery. Of course we are blaming "supply chain and COVID."

There is a dealer about 100 miles away that appears to have one. I live in a fairly rural region so there's not many up this way - and especially higher trimmed.

The dealer I ordered from I know personally and have done a lot of B2B deals with them in addition to a few personal. They have a GM dealer here in town and the very small Ford/Chrysler one a couple hours away they acquired a couple years ago. I was going to order a Yukon and they told me 6+ months and it will likely come incomplete (no heated steering wheel, no steering lock, etc...) I thought maybe check one of these out instead. I've never owned a Chrysler product worth more than $1000 so I figured why not?

Anyway, as excited as I am, I'm not in a huge rush. Hoping maybe they cure a few of these Gremlins before mine is built. If I don't see it till summer it's no big deal.

Whereabouts in Wisconsin are you? I couldn’t find a single GW either to test drive when I was ordering in November. Only one around was on the north side of Milwaukee - didn’t think that test drive was worth my life so that was a hard pass LOL.

I received my VIN today, called Wagoneer Client Services and registered for weekly updates. Current status is awaiting parts. The rep on the phone told me she has seen things pick up speed as of late but is worried about Omicron’s impact. In a perfect world lead time is about 12 weeks, probably preaching to the choir here, just sharing knowledge
