I highly doubt itās a reworked order, fortunately. Iāve been tracking VINs since I ordered mine and while they are not physically produced in numeric order thereās definitely a general trend upwards as time has gone on. From reading other Stellantis forums Iāve heard of instances of the factory just rebuilding a whole new, identically specced order if something was badly damaged during production (or if something else is wrong and not reasonable to repair). The dealer should be able to tell you if this is the case. And if not you can bet for certain their rep with corporate will be able to tell them what happened - and they should absolutely be checking with them.Just confirmed two things on my GW3
1.) status = KZLD (transit delay)
2.) The VIN changed š¤·š»āāļø Went from a 165XXX to a 204XXX. Same exact build and the sales guy doesnāt know why. The VIN changes doesnāt give me the warm and fuzzies. I hope theyāre not throwing a reworked unit at me. Iām looking forward to seeing the date of manufacture when she arrives.
Does a window sticker or build sheet come back with the new VIN? The window sticker will show you the build date but Iām curious to see if thereās a special line item on the build sheet. My dealer ended up whining to Stellantis about the length of time my order was taking and they forced it into production; thereās actually a special schedule code on my build sheet speaking to such.
