Thanks. Can you explain that again? A picture perhaps? I’d like to try this.My grand Cherokee L overland had/has this issue as well sometimes. Please and hold the bottoms on volume and tone for about 10 seconds to reset the radio. Won’t lose your settings.
I believe he's talking about rebooting the UConnect system. You push in both the physical volume and tune buttons at the same time and hold them in until it resets (around 10 seconds). See image below. You can do this while driving, it won't screw up anything and sometimes help when bluetooth/android auto/apple carplay won't connect. I had to do the same thing in my Grand Cherokee periodically too when bluetooth wouldn't connect.Thanks. Can you explain that again? A picture perhaps? I’d like to try this.

Keep in mind that overnight is generally the same thing because I think the system only stays "warm" for a while off the battery (which is why bluetooth and things are quick to reconnect when you just go in a store and come back out) so in the morning it will probably have already shutoff and will be just like rebooting it.Thanks. Will try this in the morning.
No problems on phone calls doc. But in general with Uconnect, neither or Apple Carplay nor Android Auto stay connected long enough to really notice.Noted today - a background noise when using CarPlay - its most notable during phone calls - but with low volume on AppleTunes - it is evident too. Hard to describe the noise.....but its constant (like a muffle from an open window or something).
Anyone?
@SNBI_07 - ask your dealer service manager to review the open STAR bulletin and perform a radio recalibration. I was in/out this morning in under an hour. Problem appears fixed.I’m having the same issue, and it’s happened over multiple days so I doubt a reboot will do anything. The static sounds like someone is shaking a salt shaker, quite annoying.
Got an appointment set for next Friday to do the recall, I’ll bring this up as well, thanks!@SNBI_07 - ask your dealer service manager to review the open STAR bulletin and perform a radio recalibration. I was in/out this morning in under an hour. Problem appears fixed.
