Yikes, @who_dog ! Hope the dealer is resolving and doing PDI for you soon (to include open campaigns and updates). Congrats on the order. Send pics when you take ownership!

And, even though it's in paint today, the build sheet still isn't showing online. I guess like some have said, it's sometimes after it's actually out of manufacturing or actually shipped, before it shows up.

Yep. Told my wife, and she's nervous. Big step up in vehicle size for her (coming from an Acadia). I've also ordered a GC for me, but figure it's 50/50 that the Wagoneer will be too big for her and we'll swap. Got word my Cherokee is currently due to ship on 12/18, but dealer is skeptical it will actually ship then.

Wife got an email Wagoneer services saying the GW III has been approved for shipping release, but a carrier has not been scheduled. Slowly inching forward.

At what point did you engage Wagoneer services? We ordered 36 days ago and have not been contacted nor have we tried to contact them to check build status. To be honest we are thinking of cancelling the order until they can get the production act together. My truck was 100 days start to finish during this chip shortage but you would think the "D" status would be quick but it has not moved even though its a sold order. We would be looking at Feb 11th for 100 days if it went the same as the truck. Borderline unacceptable I think especially when we are driving the trade still and getting penalized for mileage.

Are you saying it's still in D, or not yet in D? We ordered ours on 10/15 and it went D over the weekend and had a VIN assigned. It was then in D for 2 weeks or a little longer, and then was in D1 for about a month, before it was "in paint" and then ready to ship about a week later. So, we are just a hair under two months.

At one point Jeep chat refused to give me an update on the Wagoneer (we also bought a GC and JL at same time), and gave us the 800 number. My wife called them, and while they didn't give her much info at that time, what they have done is send her an email update each Friday. Today's email told her it was released for shipment.

So, the two months order to finish isn't two bad, but the bigger concern right now is some of the problems people are having with dead batteries and stuff.

We went D on 6 Nov and nothing from there as of today (day 36). Goal was to have it before Dec 26th for our 30th Wedding anniversary but it does not seem likely since we are already at 10 Dec. I am a patient guy but dang. We see our exact builds in dealer stock but good luck dealing on them. There is a sweet Durango due in next week, I have a sneaking suspicion she will pull the trigger on the Durango unless we are in "D1" Either way its a V8 Hemi

Have you contacted your dealer for an update? I too get regular updates from Wagoneer Services but I had to initiate that with them. I called them almost immediately after ordering (I don’t do patience LOL) and the gal I spoke to offered to email me routine updates. I too get a weekly email from the same rep every Friday.

My dealer told me officially the timeline is 8-12 weeks from order to delivery but they said based on other orders they wouldn’t be surprised if I was in the 6-8 week range. But I hear ya it’s a little frustrating when I can go on AutoTrader and find similar builds out there sitting on lots.

Believe me, I know it’s frustrating and the communication during order process is less than satisfactory. The dealers, concierge service do not maintain accurate updates and a daily status on your build or shipping status. During my order process, I was told by the concierge person that status updates were provided each Wednesday and not daily, as I expected. I placed my order in April and for eight months lived through the excitement and agony of the process, which was still being developed. I’ve now had my GWSIII for two weeks and it’s amazing and was worth the wait.

LOL “excitement and agony” describes the wait process very well. We also have a BMW on order and I really wish other manufacturers had an online tracker like BMW does.

My VIN has an NS149xxx sequence number. I’ve been reading some of the other Jeep forums to try and figure out if they’re produced in order like that or not. In my mind they would be but not so sure from reading other forums.

I was picking up a company truck from my dealer on Thursday and he showed me his screen showing his open orders. He showed me mine (GWIII ordered in March) and said, “See that code?” I wish I could remember what it was, but it was something like CZDD. He said he’s never seen that code in the system in 18 years. He said when he looked it up it was something like “loaded on truck, location of truck unknown”. He said three had that code last week and two showed up at the dealership out of nowhere, as in the dealership got no additional information before they showed up. Mine, of course, did not. WCS also say they have no idea where my truck is and that my dealer will have better information at this point. Again I’m not mad at the supply chain situation, I get that. It’s that Jeep has no idea what’s going on inside their own organization.

Hi, @Breedy00 - thats just downright frustrating. SOMEBODY should be competent enough and or resourceful enough to find you a more definitive answer. May I recommend, if you have not done so already, to ask WCS to initiate inquiry with Stellantis. I say this, as Stellantis was integral (when dealer and WCS both gave me a run around on finding a "replacement" after my first WIII was a lemon). Stellantis not only located a unit at the Port of Baltimore that matched my specs; they had it diverted; plucked from the Port; and delivered for PDI to my dealer in 24 hours. That is "responsiveness." PM me if you have any questions. Good Luck! ~Skip

Well mama made the decision tonight. Cancelled the order, we will be going with a loaded Audi Q7 since it is available as we would have ordered it as well. We caught it coming off the truck and they matched the trade value. Heck of an SUV. I can understand the build to order mentality but when it appears dealer stock is taking priority over sold orders its not going to end well for someone, tonight it was us. The process needs to be streamlined and more transparent for someone spending the money. The supply chain is only part of the issue, the Wagoneer should have not been released for another few months in my opinion. The service, support, production, and tracking is not ready for prime time.

I'm trading my '17 loaded Q7 Prestige in for a GC Summit Reserve. The Q7 is a nice vehicle. I just got sick of the 2 hour drive to the Audi dealer, and the over charging for service and needing to make warranty appointment, including recalls, months ahead of time. Then, even after scheduling months in advance, every single time they failed to complete the work on the day of the appointment and sent me home (2 hours) in a loaner. That said, if it wasn't for the two hour drive, I could have dealt with the overcharging and other hassles and likely would have gotten an 2022 SQ7 to replace my Q7.

I bet your wife will be happy with the Q7. It's a mature model, and the Slovakians do a pretty good job of turning out product will minimal issues.

We are lucky enough to have a dealer nearby, as a matter in fact its 3 blocks away from the Jeep dealer. No lost time there and the loaner program will be handy when trying to get things taken care of or services. The headlights are phenomenal! Jeep dealer was a bit disappointed in the cancellation, I am not dinging them as this is a bigger problem than them. Barrel Brown.

Interesting color. Looks nice. If I was closer to the Audi dealer, I would likely have gotten another Q7 or Q8. FWIW, the Grand Cherokee, like I'm getting, is a closer match too the Q7 than the Grand Wagoner (getting GW for my wife and three standard poodles).
