Snow Driving in Wagoneer

Yesterday I put in about 15 miles of driving on lightly snowy roads here in Seattle in my WS3 with Quadra-Drive II. I put it in Snow mode although I’m not sure I needed to. I live in a somewhat hilly neighborhood and had no trouble with any of them, and almost no noticeable slip. Only 4-6 inches or packed snow conditions, but I passed several vehicles that were struggling. Put it in 4 low for a while (although really no need) and tried the Selec-Speed feature on a couple hills just to see how it worked, which was fine. So pretty happy with performance.

One question on the Off Road pages. One page has the image of the frame showing the transfer case, rear limited slip differential, and the 4 axles. On a few occasions I noticed the front axle indicators flashing between white and dark. I’m assuming it meant the system detected slipping, but I’m not sure and the manual doesn’t explain it. Does anyone know what these particular indicators mean?

Can't wait to try out mine in the snow once I receive it. I grew up in Québec where winter tires were required. Now living in Wisconsin (I'm out in the country), I'm so used to winter tires that I never run my vehicles without them. Honestly I don't know why there aren't similar laws around here; would help reduce accident severity and frequency quite a bit. I highly encourage any and all to splurge for a set of proper winter tires and your mind will be blown - I already have my Blizzaks in the garage sitting and waiting for my GS3 to be built and show up. But seriously, having proper rubber on your car will make the single biggest difference for winter driving (even on dry pavement) than any drivetrain will. That being said, the combination of my winter setup and Quadra-Drive II...I can't wait to zoom past all the peasants LOL
