Sirius Goes Down - First Issue Grand Wagoneer III

Well, yesterday I had my first issue with our Grand Wagoneer IIII. I was messing around with Sirius trying to get back to the 70s channel and I was on an upper channel, like the 100s. I had messed up my auto store for the 70s and had deleted it so was trying to get back to the channel and reprogram the favorite. So for whatever reason I just used the tuning knob and quickly started moving down the channels towards channel 7. It tuned just fine for a while, but then it locked up and would not show any channels. I turned off the Wagoneer to see if that would fix it, but it did not fix it. So, I just figured I stressed it out to much and went on home, and let it sit until we went out for dinner that night. Well, got in the Wagoneer and it still did not work.

So, at dinner I Googled how to reset Uconnect system and found out you just press and hold the volume and tuning button at the same time for 15 to 20 seconds to reset the system. The vehicle has to be in the run position as well and the engine not on. So I did that after dinner and the system did reset itself. LOW AND BEHOLD that fixed it and Sirius was back up and working just fine. I thought I would provide this tip in case anyone else comes across this problem.

Thank you, that's the spirit of the site! Nice work finding that reset. If you can remember the website URL, it would be nice to have it posted as well.

Either way, nicely done! (y):D

Did it reset all your setting when you did the reset, or basically just reboot it?

That just does a radio reboot. I did do a factory reset the day I took delivery as the whole Uconnect was a mess. Could not save favorites, slow behavior, stuff not working. After the first factory reset Sirius did not work at all and after the 2nd everything has been stable for a week.
