After market brake controller

Hi all. I just bought my 2022 wagoner, series 2. It is equipped with the heavy duty hitch and 7 pin and 4 pin electrical connections. However, it did not come with the integrated brake controller. I am looking to install my old Tekonsha controller I took off my last vehicle, but I am having trouble finding the right harness to connect the car to the controller. Anybody have any input? Thanks in advance.

I ordered the mopar brake controller for my Wrangler in Sept and it still hasn't shown up. I'm not expecting my GWSIII until early May, but that reminds me I should see if I can order one now so it might show up in 2022. I'll ask at the dealer next time I'm down there if they have an official one for the GW yet.

If you ordered the Heavy Duty Trailer option for your GWSIII, it comes with the brake controller. See below, a snippet directly from the Grand Wagoneer website.

Yes, My tow package came with a built in brake controller.

I’m in the same position as HiltonT. I bought a Series III Wagoneer without the HD tow package and am looking for a harness and brake controller. Any suggestions/recs would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure I read without the tow package it has a lower tow rating too, don't forget to factor that in. I haven't seen the mopar brake controller for it yet either.

Like to Curt Echo? I’m concerned that it’ll fall out or be stolen.

I'm pretty sure I read without the tow package it has a lower tow rating too, don't forget to factor that in. I haven't seen the mopar brake controller for it yet either.

Thanks. I noticed that when looking at the owners manual. I could always have a mechanic change the gear later which might help a little.
