4x4 drive modes

Does any one have details on how the power distribution works on the quadra trac 1. Is it 60 / 40 split standard or does it do rear wheel drive only in auto mode. Does snow mode or mud do A 50/50 split. On the window sticker front axel disconnect is standard but no mention how it functions.

Not sure this answers your Q 100% @And637 but I pulled this from another dealer site:

The Quadra-Trac I system offers four-wheel-drive full-time. This system comes with a lightweight transfer case that smooth and efficiently improves the Grand Wagoneer's traction and increases fuel economy. This system works by transforming torque from the wheel slipping to the wheels that have a better grip. With the available Quadra-Trac, II system buyers will receive a two-speed transfer case. This system takes data from numerous sensors, these sensors can tell if a wheel is slipping long before it becomes a problem, and the system will divert power to the other wheels. Jeep's most advanced 4x4 system is their Quadra-Drive II, with a rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential. This is a full-time 4x4 system, so it's always active, delivering superior all-weather capability by transferring up to 100% of available torque to a single rear wheel if needed.

Yes and no. Trying to see if any of the modes effect the axel power ratio split. I don't think quadra trac 1 will ever do 100% to the front axel. But it may to the rear in auto mode on dry pavement. Does snow mode have 50 / 50 standard for example ? Seems like a big mystery that no one seems to be able to answer.
