My next project for the Grand Wagoneer is having a Stinger Radar detector system put in. The Stinger system is a stealth system like Radenso RC M and Escort CI. I had the Escort previously and wanted to try the Stinger, I really like their display called the VIEW. I'll have 3 lasers front, 2 back and then the radar sensors front and back. The cool part is they are custom mounting the VIEW screen so it pops up out of the steering column when I turn it on, otherwise it will stay folded down and hidden. They are also putting in a custom mute button that will be easier to reach.
I've ready a lot of forums on Stinger, and they just upgraded their detector in the past several months so I am getting the newer system. However, curious if anyone on this forum has past experience with Stinger. The install shops really like the Stinger compared to Radenso and Escort.
Finally got the Stinger system installed. The "view" screen is motorized and can go up and down to hide away. Before anyone says anything,
, it only blocks out the mileage when it up. Looks good and works great.
