I started to browse for some new shoes for Patty just in case. A week or so ago, it was raining hard here. So I let her loose on the highway, and at around 70ish, I started to feel hydroplaning on the front tires. So I backed off on speed and settled in at 55mph—no problems afterward in driving. Now I know what to expect when it is pouring outside.
On my former truck no problems with hydroplaning even at 75mph. It was never a problem getting out or driving around when we got snow or blizzard conditions.
I know this is different from my truck, so I'll test her (Patty) out in winter for snow traction at the Mall parking lot.
The mall kops. Daddy, He's at it again. That's some bum...

Did they give you the Goodyear Eagles or what for shoes? I've been planning on burning them up, I mean putting on new tires, Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 when they 'wear' out. Better than Michlin, and I didn't think I'd say that as I've been loyal to them for a long time. Pirelli made my QX80 ride like a champ, handle wet/snow/dirt roads just fine. Never had to do trail driving so don't know I'd want them for that serious style offroad but all the rest have been smooth. Feels like it is riding on rails too, super handling.
Oh, and for that mall kop, I think it's just a simple thing.... a failure to communicate.
