It should be added as an option. If some buyers want the wood grain panel, they have that added option. Whereas, most buyers like the modern look - no wood grain.

I see all these comments people wanting wood grain. They don't like all the screens. Don't like touch screen. People asking how does this one compare to the old one. I think the number one issue to overcome is the name! When I hear the name "wagoneer" I think old. I think wood panel. I think station wagon. Nothing in that name generates a vision of modern or luxury. The name invokes the exact opposite. And all these comments people are making is proving my point. I honestly struggle with the idea of buying something called a wagoneer. It's like being a man and trying to be proud to drive a minivan! lol This machine is bad ass. Modern. The insider is spectacular. But you won't think of that way by speaking the name. Mistake to try and connect this to the past.

I've heard a number of people making the same comment about the Wagoneer name sounding "old".

My 2 cents; I understand that the Wagoneer name makes people instantly think of the old Wagoneer. But I do love the name and the connection to the past and I think with or without the woodgrain it will be accepted and loved for what it is, the long awaited body on frame big SUV from mopar. I wouldn't have cared if it was a Ram SUV.

They must think that the Dodge Charger name is too old too. lol.
I think that is different. The charger was a hot rod of sort. Mussel car. The new one is the same type. Don't get me wrong I likely will buy one. I can get past the name. The biggest struggle for me is the side view. Something is just off. Thinking it is the body color between windows and doors.

Probably no wood for me, but we'll see. Open to anything if it looks good!

Regarding the name being associated with "old," I would argue that it's only that way because we haven't had a Wagoneer on the market in forever. Soon the name will be associated with large, expensive, modern luxury. I don't think it's a mistake to bring the name back.

Get the two tone black roof option. Problem solved 😄

All of the owners of a '22 GW who want the wood grain should get together and find someone to print the vinyl and produce the framework. There is some very nice and durable wood grain vailable for the old GW, I'd be surprised if the same company could not produce for the new one.
I think it looks much better with the wood application, it takes away the overly large amount of sheet metal on the side.
