What is everyone paying?

Anyone have any luck with fair pricing or no dealer markups on their Wagoneer purchase? Are any buying services like Costco Auto or TrueCar offering any pre[-[negotiated pricing? Or are there any dealers here on the forums that are helping with orders?

Hoping that we all can use our collective efforts to help everyone with their purchases!

Most dealers I have seen are selling at MSRP with no markup. There's been a few I have heard of that are trying to sell for well above MSRP. Nobody should pay more than MSRP. In my opinion, everyone should pay less than MSRP. It's like buying a house. You should never pay more than what a house is worth, and everyone tries to pay less than that. If you find a dealer that is asking for more than the MSRP, go somewhere else. That dealership is not worth getting scammed at. These vehicles are not in high demand. There are simply not enough at the dealerships just yet. Give it a little bit of time and there will be plenty to choose from. No reason to give the dealership an extra $10K or $15K tip. Especially when you can go to another dealership and get one at MSRP or less.

I've heard the invoice price and MSRP are within a few thousand dollars of each other. If that's true, there's really not much room to play. I imagine that's why a lot of dealers are selling for MSRP with no markup.

The Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer are both on the affiliate pricing list. If you buy the $100 Individual membership level from Tread Lightly!, you qualify for FCA affiliate pricing which is 1% under invoice. You do have to wait 30 days after purchasing the membership for the affiliate pricing to be available to you. It is said that FCA is very strict with this. You also get a lot of other discounts with your membership.

My price went up $900. I’m purchasing a GW S3. It arrives next week!

The concierge has told multiple people if we ordered before they hiked up the price, the MSRP at the time of our order would be honored.

I just looked at my build sheet, and there is a line item that wasn't there on the first Grand Wagoneer they built for me. It says "Price Protection - Code J"

Absolutely no reason for it to be marked up. There are plenty of dealers out there that will sell for MSRP or less. All you're doing is giving them a $10,000 tip.
I'm giving a $2,000 as a tip. Back in the 60s, it was a bottle of bourbon!

Jeep Fair Oaks (Chantilly VA) tried raping clients with an EXAGGERATED $18k "adjusted market value" - I called them out on it and they said they were sticking to it. Dealers like this are scumbags!

Safford Jeep in our area sold for sticker. No AMV markup.

Dealers like this deserve to be boycotted and be forced out of business. They are not a high-end dealership selling a vehicle that will only have a 40 or 50 of a specific vehicle built.

Absolutely no justification to go over MSRP on a mass produced vehicle. Especially when a lot of other dealerships are selling the same vehicle for MSRP, or less.

They're already making more than enough off of selling you a vehicle they pretty much had nothing to do with, other than possibly ordering it for you and telling you it was ready to go. lol

I tried to buy from them. I told them I had the same vehicle at another dealership willing to give me it for MSRP in the VA Beach area so don't even bother coming back with anything other than MSRP. They came back $18k over instead of the $20k "market demand" they had it listed for.... lol. I gave them one more chance the best they would do was like $12k over MSRP. I said "see ya" pretty quickly after that waste of time. The worst of it is that we originally went out there to test drive and see a Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve that the owner was using as a demo but she decided in that she didn't want to sell it yet and they didn't even call me to let me know until I got there and had already test driven the Wagoneer. Then after I said I can already get the Wagoneer for MSRP elsewhere, they claimed they knew the owner of the dealership that I was going to (I never said which dealership) and that they just list stuff like that then change the price on you when you get there. Happy to report that the other dealership did NOT do that and I got the vehicle for MSRP. Will probably never go back to Fair Oaks in Chantilly ever again.

The sad thing is that they are probably getting the 18 to 20K over MSRP due to uninformed buyers. For them to stand firm with their markup tells me they are getting it! I'm sure it will sit on the lot just a bit before they find their sucker!

Nothing but problems. SHADY SHADY SHADY! This is the dealer that hosted the VIP Wagoneer release event where we got to see/touch/feel (over some free water and cookie platters....gimme a break)..... I left a review on Google and they had it removed. RUN RUN RUN from this dealership!

Update: took delivery of Wagoneer Series III on Monday 11.8.21 - $88125 (sticker + TTT and dealer fees of $899).
Upon delivery noted that a seat motor (2nd row was inoperative and headliner assembly was falling off around the sunroof). Browns of Sterling VA (not where I bought it) - noted that parts couldn't even be ordered yet.

Long story short: Dealer took the vehicle back and located me a Series I Grand Wagoneer and are delivering today and HONORING the $88125 pricing.

REPUTATION means everything: Safford CJD (Fredericksburg, VA)! I've bought over 10 Jeeps/Dodge from them and they continue to shine!
