Water leak from headliner

Yet another new issue. Got in the Wagoneer this afternoon and noticed water dripping on my seat (drivers side). Apparently water is getting in through either the sun roof or the windshield and settling in the headliner. Leaking right at what appears to be either a microphone or climate sensor (see photo).

Raining most of the day where I am in Michigan, making a right turn and started getting water out of the sunglasses compartment in the overhead bin. First time I have noticed that one and its one that has me more concerned than the electrical issues….

I’ve seen this posted previously by other owners. WCS monitors and usually jump in

Just talked to the dealer - he told me to go out and check the windshield for a crack at the top by the rear view mirror, my first comment was there is no crack - sure enough - about a 8 inch hairline crack from top of the roofline to the rearview mirror - they said its the 3rd one they have had water and need to replace - taking it in tomorrow for pictures and to submit for a replacement windshield.

UPDATE: Just got the Wagoneer back from the dealer, they think it was the Sunroof Drain on the right side, it releases through the A pillar to the bottom of the vehicle next to the auto assist steps - gets plugged with snow and ice, then the rain we got backed up the tube and released back into the headliner. No word on a long term fix, but we will monitor to see if it happens again.

Just had this happen today on the passenger side. Did you get this fixed at the dealership?

A TSB was released for this. Dealer should be able to take care of it. WCS posted the TSB under the Windshield thread.

Heavy rain last night and now we are leaking out of the overhead speaker on the driver side - anyone hear if they figured out what this is yet? My last issue was thought to be a plugged drain hole from snow build up - but that’s not it this time.

Did you get the TSB windshield work done? I believe that addresed a couple of issues including leaks. Did the dealer have anything to say when you brought this up to them? Also have you DM'd with @WagoneerCxSvc as Kate mentioned? I'd suggests keeping the pressure on the Dealer to get this fixed and/or Stellantis to determine if another TSB is needed.

Thanks for the suggestions, it’s going to the dealer tomorrow - I did not have the windshield replaced yet - my windshield has not shown any of the other signs in the TSB. I will update the post when the dealer gives me more info.

There is a TSB for a leak caused at the Driver side microphone - apparently that was the issue. I don't have the paperwork yet to see the exact information but it is a known issue and their is a fix for it. Also, getting the rear seat raise/recline motors replaced - they bind and need to restart the car to finish the motion - this is also a known TSB.

Thank you for the update, someone places a photo of water coming through so now I'll know to look for it when I test it via a no-touch car wash (after the ceramic coating of course).

Skip - I haven't checked this forum in a long time (been in the Facebook forums). Our WS3 was approved for buyback/ replacement in February. I just now received confirmation from the dealer that they ordered it. Next step is to wait to hear back from FCA on the formal "offer" for replacement. Anything out of pocket is unacceptable. They tell me they can build it in about 7 weeks.
