Is this thread about the sales pitch and promises (thread topic) or floor mats (squirrel!)?

This could be an issue why the forum is so dead. Cant stay on topic....
The forum is dead because there aren't many new issues to go over and discuss.

Unlike the majority of the previous issues with the vehicle, the customer half promises can't be resolved with an OTA computer update.

I would caution anyone from buying this vehicle if your decision is reliant on the customer half promises. You will be dealing with a jeep dealer, your salesman may have passed the 4 hour click through the prompt quiz to become a wagoneer specialist, but they will likely know next to nothing. I got into a back and forth with the dealer manager over one of the GWs on the lot that he was adamant had the tow package, even though it wasn't on the sticker, he said they all come with a tow package... I had to inform him it was very easy to tell which had the tow package because there will be tow hooks in the front bumper if it does. Dealers exist to get you in a vehicle and finance through their loan originator. Expect this and be surprised when you receive more. The service department is separate from the dealer a lot of times, they will be your biggest supporter and advocate post purchase.

I bought my W3 from a dealer 50 minutes away from me when my local dealer didn’t want to honor FCA affiliate pricing and have no regrets. I have over 6,000 miles and have only had the one recall which my dealer, who is not on the website shown as certified, has picked up my car and dropped off a W3 loaner. At first they weren’t sure if their Wagoneer loaner would be back in time but they were still willing to give me another new loaner. My sales person has been great and still follows up and the GM and sales department have been top notch. I believe it has everything to do with the dealership. I am guessing FCA should be stripping incentives from those dealers that are not living up to the promise but heck, they have no control over the dealers to accept FCA so it will be interesting to see. No regrets here.

I will give a shout out to Landers McLarty here in Huntsville today. Dropped the Wagoneer off for the recalls and a trim problem, having set up an appointment two weeks ago. They provided me a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L as a loaner. They dont have much on the lot bud glad they continue to step up. Even got to talk to my salesman (for the last 10 years) for a bit, if you need anything MOPAR give Robert Sawyer a call!
