I would recommend the factory reset before the sledge hammer of completely disconnecting power. That's tough on any system. The Factory Reset is available via UConnect in the center screen. The screen was frozen so not sure what was going on.
Any news or update on getting this fixed? Did you try a UConnect reset and did it help? Has the Dealer realized they need to fix this? Any update is appreciated for the rest of us who may hit this same issue in our vehicles. Thanks! The screen was frozen so not sure what was going on.
Glad your Dealer finally is standing up and doing the right thing. WIth that type of error system, I sure hope they are doing what is promised from Jeep Wagoneer: They pick up the vehicle at your home, drop off the equivalent loaner and when done fixing it, bring it back to your home. If that isn't the process, you probably should DM @WagoneerCxSvc and have them advocate as well on your behalf. It's due to goto the dealer next week.
But it did reset it self over night so more to come. I am just afraid to drive the truck as no knowing what will happen next. The whole thing is controlled by computers which makes it very unreliable.
Computers are insanely reliable, how do you think the world we live in exists today? Try shutting off any one of your dozens of smart devices and try to survive. The whole thing is controlled by computers which makes it very unreliable.
@WagoneerCxSvc should be able to assist. There are a lot of dealers in your area, NYC actually is the largest Jeep market so they should be able to help. I'm not sure how many issues you have experienced but a full list in a DM to WagoneerCxSvc should help with a way to move this forward for you. You should have also gotten the Wagoneer Client Services information, briefings, etc. at the Dealership when you purchased the vehicle. It is also on the primary website, Grand Wagoneer - Jeep® . Hope that helps with next steps, this is really very strange, not the norm we've seen so far from Stellantis. It is something that happens with Dealerships at times, which is why the WCS group tries hard to help.Dealer said there was another computer flash to do but no codes.
They claim they can't help and don't know why Stalantis will not help me. They will not even re sell the vehicle they said they would take it as a trade and wholesale it out.
You may just call in, not use the extension and after you get someone to answer, ask to escalate and speak to a Manager. I'm getting support out of WCS even before taking delivery, sometimes I found you ust call into the number and then do that, speak to whomever is on the shift as they seem to all want to help when I call in. Doesn't mean there is one or two who don't get it of course, so try to jump to a manager and not ask for a new person, just describe the complete background of non-responsiveness and you should get help.I do have a case manager at wagonner but she is out a lot and they will not give me a new one. Next step will me to call my lawyer which is the last thing I want to do.
How long since you've had updates done then? Have you set up your WiFi at Home so the system updates or do you wait until you hit the dealer? I'm planning on a separate WiFi connection for the GW just to do updates when it is parked at the house.Dont know if software updates would address the issues but we had our first oil change today, there were 4 "proprietary" software updates. They would not detail the updates but the oil change, tire rotation, and software updates took 5 hours.

@And637 have you tried the Factory Reset routine while parked at the house and connected to your home WiFi? @Wagonstro is on to something with all the SW updates taking that long. Must have been several factory resets by the Service department. You may be able to get those updates be being connected to your home WiFi and doing the Factory reset which would push downloads for hours (so make it start in the evening for an overnight run).
Okay, thanks for the info. Hum, didn't know Stellantis was forcing returns to Service Departments for updates other than TSBs. Wonder how we find out what they are doing.... time to dig around and see what sites have info on these proprietary updates. Haven't heard anyone on the forum discuss that, even the people with updates last fall/winter when they were coming out every week if not more often.Costa,
We did have the WiFi setup at the house but the technician stated these would not be "pushed" as they were proprietary. We had a few weird things happen but no show stoppers and simply needed oil/rotation. I asked them to check for any software updates and they found four were available..
was not me at 36,Okay, thanks for the info. Hum, didn't know Stellantis was forcing returns to Service Departments for updates other than TSBs. Did they at least give you a loaner vehicle? They are supposed to come to your home, pick up the vehicle, leave you the loaner and do the work. Return it to you when they finish and take away the loaner. Sounds like none of that was even offered let alone done, am I right?
Also sounds like you haven't had a recurrence as of this moment, hope you don't find yourself doing 36 again in the driveway in park!
