Well, as many of you know I've not experienced a lot of the issues others have posted on this forum, except for the poor service experience. I recently took a another 6 hour trip, 3 hours both ways, and that changed things. So, this was my 2nd long trip and after this trip I started to experience the rubbing noise, or felt like it was in 4 wheel low when turning, that so many others have talked about on this forum. After having it looked at by the dealership and nothing really resolved- I made the decision to sell the Grand Wagoneer III.

I just can't have a vehicle, that I paid this much money for, and not feel comfortable that I can count on it to run properly. It was my daily driver and it just made me nervous having an issue Jeep could not figure out how to fix. Maybe down the road when Jeep works out the issues with the first generation Grand Wagoneer I will go back because I really liked the overall look and feel, but for now I've gone back to BMW with a X5.

I'm in the same boat, if I could find an x7 Alpina near me I think I would go ahead and be done.

The gw is a great ride but there are quite a few nuances that need to be worked out. The dealer experience needs a lot of improvement. I think jeep is drastically underrating this part if the process. I should not need to haggle for a rental vehicle. I should be able to drive into the dealer, without an appointment, drop it off and pick up an equivalent rental. I shouldn't need to reach out to some concierge service and wait and haggle with them either. It's a 115k vehicle with 50k in mark up. Take care of the customer or don't have one.

I hope the Dealer wakes up on what they need to do, for your sake so you get the vehicle running as it should.

This is spot on. I also have a 2022 M550i and the experience is completely different at my BMW dealer. For me, I think I prefer the homeyness of my small, country Jeep dealer over the sterility (that may not be the right word) of my BMW dealer. But hey, that's probably an individual (no pun intended ;)) thing. I never expected Jeep/Wagoneer to provide the same experience as BMW going into this, regardless of how much their marketing people tried to convince me otherwise. I do think Wagoneer Client Services does a better job of a more individualized experience over BMW Genius, though. BMW could certainly teach Stellantis a thing or two about how to properly let your customers track their vehicles - I love the BMW order/tracking experience.

But I will say that I am in no way able to just show up at my BMW dealer without warning and expect to be given a loaner. Not in today's climate. They just don't have them or any inventory. Maybe things are different out east by you.

Agreed. I am 22 miles away from my nearest dealer and outside their shuttle service zone. I took my 2004 Mercedes in for some major suspension service (bushings, mostly labor to remove/lower the subframe) and came out with a $18,000 estimate! After whittling it down to $8,600 and authorizing the work, they would not provide a loaner. After I got the car back, I discovered they put the wrong power steering fluid when they put the car back together. At this point, I demanded a loaner and a no-cost refresh of the power steering fluid, to which they agreed. They gave me a used car out of their inventory to use overnight while they finished it up. At least they took care of me after screwing up the initial repair. I'm kind of stuck when it comes to service on this car. They ceased production in 2012, and it is a low-volume car to say the least, only 3,000 examples world-wide during a 9-year production run from 2004-2012. Got to expect exorbitant costs to maintain it. But a loaner would be nice when I do bring it in.
