This might be a dumb question and i really hope it is and its something super easy that i am doing wrong…. There has to be a way to watch the same video on all 3 screen from either a connected phone or from a usb thumb drive? I cant seem to be able to do either. AT&T is having issues with wifi in Canada so no wifi in vehicle so trying to plug into either the USB or USB-C port behind the flip up screen for rear media. I could be downloading files wrong or doing something totally wrong. Wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks on how to make this work haha.

i have asked concierge and dealer about this. Dealer is working in it. Concierge told me wasnt his problem to figure out so reaching out to this group. Thanks guys.

Hi, there may be some info here on this link to assist. I'm not sure if you've used or created the online Mopar Wagoneer site account yet but it is helpful.
The actual manual for your VIN will be provided on that link and it is faster than flipping through a book, etc. It mentions the use of the Amazon Fire remotes for changing inputs for those rear screens. I didn't get that feature so I can't provide 1st hand experience. Hope this helps though, I've seen a few posts on this site about needing to get streaming/vids, etc. on the rear screens requiring the remotes to choose that input. A few vids online too about the UConnect system in Wagoneers/GWs show the need to use the remote as well.

Let us know how it goes!

There is a usb port under the screen that slides up labelled “rear”. It should allow you to plug a usb drive into the port and run movies to both back screens. Finding the proper format of movie on a mac has become in itself a challenge. Has been a ton of fun.

So after spending countless hrs on this…. I am almost at breaking point of giving up. I run apple/mac and i am seeing in order to maybe be able to do anything i have to transfer movies from a M4V file to a MP4 file. There are apps and downloads that can do this. Problem is my macOS is to high and they wont allow these downloads or apps to do anything. I have asked more than one dealer about it and they know nothing. And noone at customer service seems to be able to help. Getting quite frustrated. I get it “1st world problem” but when shelling out $130k (canada) i would expect someone to know what to do hahaha. I dont even know if converting the files and putting them on a thumb drive will actually even work either.
There. Rant over. Back to trying to figure this out.

Hi Tgifarms. Have you tried HandBrake to convert movies from m4v to mp4?

I had to convert all of my mkv/m4v/avi movies to mp4 before the UConnect system would recognize the files, and it only seemed to work on the "rear" usb port under the front center screen. The USB drive also needs to be formatted in FAT32 file system. Quick a bit of hoops to jump through in this day and age of tech, when most any TV/tablet/computer/etc can play most any file.

Let me know if you need more help as I did quite a bit of trial and error.

I would like to know how you went about this. I am looking at dvd players to use in the wagoneer but this dvd to thumb drive seems much simpler. I have the entertainment system and use Mac as well.

Got Handbrake added libdvdcss, encoded on a Samsung 128GB FAT32 thumb at 720P MP4. Can watch on computer but Wagoneer does not see the drive?
