Rear Entertaining Power On/Off???

Admittedly, have not taken time to learn/program anything with the rear entertainment system. Actually an option I would NOT have chosen - but so it goes.

Is there anyone who can tell me how to "turn the screens off?" Noted the glare emanating from rear this morning while trekking for coffee. Is there an easy way to turn screens off? Please advise. TIA! ~skip

I have not seen an option to turn them off to the point where they don't turn on every time you start the car but you can turn them off each time by going to "Media" on the UConnect, then along the top click on "Rear Seat" or "Rear Entertainment". It will show both screens and you can click on the power icon on each to turn them off. It's not a simple/quick set of steps so I'd like to see an option to have them default to off until turned on but I am not aware.

I'm experiencing the same aggravation. Has anyone determined a easy way to default the screens to off? I've been able to turn them off through the media settings but its an awful lot of button pushing.

Hey there Skip - If I recall, I turned off each screen by touching the upper right of the individual screen and a little round "button" appeared. This is the power button to turn off the screen. Once I did that, the screens did not turn back on after vehicle starts until they were manually turned on. I would go out to the garage to double check but alas, we won't have our vehicle back until the 23rd at the earliest.

@Randyv - just tried that. YES - it worked. Is there a way to turn off from "Front Seat" panels? I don't have kids - so presume its the team from Car Wash that turns these screens on.....

23rd? Ugh! I'm sorry!

I have done both the above suggestions and the screens ultimately turn back on without anyone touching them. Hoping this will be a fix with an over the air software update at some point.
