Numerous "Software" issues, anyone else seeing these?

So we've had our WS3 for about 10 weeks now and we are seeing a large number of what I would describe as software issues. I'm curious if others are seeing these issues or others.

These include but are not limited to:
  1. Media system loses sound and can't be recovered without power cycling the truck (not just the media unit)
  2. Heated seats turn off in about 3 minutes for driver and 7 minutes for passenger
  3. Car Play loses connection randomly and doesn't want to reconnect til we power cycle the truck or cycle between connecting as audio device and car play device. This seems to occur most frequently when using the maps/nav feature of carplay which is very frustrating since you lose your route guidance.
  4. Media screen flashes up a snapshot of a nav screen showing a previously followed route when Car Play gets a text message coming in.
  5. Nav system which should stay in sync between main media screen, drivers info center, and HUD but doesn't. Information on the driver screen will not show the same info (turn details) as the main screen. First pic shows driver screen indicating left turn, nav screen indicating right turn. Second picture shows driver screen indicating "reached destination" but nav screen showing several miles to go.
  6. Media screen shows "No internet signal" when car is turned on even though we just had a standard SXM station on previously. Have to cycle through sources to get it to come back.
  7. Media screen sometimes powers up with an Alexa message as seen in third pic. We have alex setup but don't actively use it in the truck and sure why it powers up into Alex when the media unit it set to resume to the source/channel it had at power down.
I believe #2 was supposed to have a fix in January, but not heard anything else about it.

BTW, Moderator, It would be great if we have a forum for tracking issues so we can all know the status and availability of updates.

How did you get the apple carplay nav app to appear on the driver screen?

I have non of the above issues so far. I do see a couple of glitches that could be either bugs or just an oversight in design:
When power side step is stored, sometime it will open and close immediately when door is opened after the car sat for more then a few hours.
Also clicking the phone button will say that no phone is connected even though the phone is connected and car play is on.

There is a section for problems, see this post: https://wagoneerforums.org/index.php?threads/dealership-pick-up-inspection-checklist.342/

It would be good to have you or @DocSkip move this into that list, removing dupes of course. :)

When you use Apple maps (not Google, Waze, etc.) it's fully integrated and the turn by turn, etc. appears in the gauge cluster & heads up.

It's a higher level Apple integration with their app.

I loved Wireless CarPlay to start, and how quick it would connect, but the sound quality wasn't the best and in the last 3 weeks I've had constant weird connection issues, such as it connecting but then the steering wheel track controls not working, and I'd need to keep resetting Wifi, so I deleted the Bluetooth connection and just USB connect now--and it's fine.

Thanks! Of course that apple will do that only for their app : )

Driving the last couple of days, I did get a couple of weird phone drops from uconnect, both where when the lower screen was closed and I activated the massage function in the driver chair from the door button. On both times as soon as the massage menu popped up overriding the apple play screen the phone dropped. Other then those two times never had Uconnect drop the phone.

We have all of the issues you mentioned with the exception of Alexa. In fact, just recently I missed an exit because the Driver console showed to exit left but in fact, the correct exit was right.

The more I think about this specific bug, the more it looks like Apple's car play and not the actual Uconnect system, unless this happens using the built in nav and not apple maps...

So, on other Jeep models, like the last gen Grand Cherokee, owners would complain when using the factory Nav, the gauge cluster directions were always out of sync and did not keep up with what the main Nav screen was showing.

In this case, since it's CarPlay, it could be different or similar, as it's sort of "intervening with the UConnect". I haven't used my factory Nav more than 1-2x, to look that closely and check.
