Nano Ceramic coating suggestions?

Hi all,

Has anyone had the nano-ceramic treatment done to their W/GW, and if so, just window tint, full body treatment or ??

Additionally if you have had it done on any vehicle you own, do you have recommendations on type, primary places to apply or complete body/window?

Thanks!

I had my Wrangler Rubicon done and it's awesome! It gets filthy, I literally hose it down and give it a wipe with a microfiber cloth so it doesn't get spots and it looks like I just waxed it. No exaggeration! Love the ceramic coating so much I'm definitely having it done to my GW soon.

I used this guy, he's great. He links to the products he uses too. I did the gold package, interior, and windows (3 different products) https://www.blackhillsautospa.com/shop

edit: forgot to mention there are restrictions like no using car washes that aren't touchless, and a few other things. So make sure to ask whoever you go with about the maintenance and care for whichever product you end up using.

Excellent, I'll jump onto that link now. I have a buddy who lives in Black Hawk, I'll let him know about this shop too.

What type of things are considered worthy of ceramic coatings on the interior, things like the dash area exposed to the sun, areas on the doors where the window starts that would be like the dash area?

I do keep hearing/reading all goodies about ceramic which is why I thought I'd ask about real world experience and different products (along with the restrictions, etc.). Always good to have as full a picture as possible when jumping into anything.

Thank you!

The interior products aren't ceramic, that's just for the paint on the outside. Windows were some type of Rain-X like product. Interior was a type of scotch-guard like product for the leather and carpets. I don't think I had anything done to the dash.

we did the Xpel nano ceramic coating. We have it on our other cars and it’s great. Sundays are car washing days in our household and the ceramic coating makes the process of 6 (yes 6) washes a breeze. We maybe do a full wax on our cars once a year.
our dealer did an armor all treatment for the entire interior. Took about 3 hours to complete and they treated all of the carpets, dash, seats and doors. This is the first I’ve tried it so no comments yet. We figured with a baby, toddler, German shepherd and corgi that the $250 (I negotiated this down from $450) would be worth it.

I like your style, way to get the price down! As for the Armor All, yeah, with taht crowd sounds like a very good idea. For me it would be to protect the inside from, well, me! 😄

Appreciate the brand, that's another key item is finding the one that works. And on 6 cars each week! You do know Sunday (or at least one day a week) is supposed to be for rest. I know, a Toddler and a baby, already the comedy of saying any day of rest hits home. I'd use something to make it easier/faster too, so nice to know Xpel is surging to the top of the list.

The 6 includes my parents who live nearby…it’s been a thing for my dad and me since I was little and we would come back from HPDE or auto cross days. The line up was smaller then. Now it’s a new Vette, new Bronco, GW, VW, LR4, and my moms crossover (I have no idea what it is other than a MB).
My dad is a nut about cars. His garage looks like the Griot’s Garage warehouse 😂😂. So the Xpel is worth the investment but the dad with all the garage goodies is priceless.

I'm seeing a lot on Ceramic Pro, seems to be the most well known brand out there as I look around, talk to shops in the area. Anyone with experience with that product?

Ceramic Pro is the product my guy uses. I haven't tried anything else, but I'm very happy with it. I did the 10 yr warranty option which if I'm not mistaken is 4 coats, so your mileage may vary if you do less.

Thank you, I was looking at a lifetime warranty package our local top shop is offering. My guess they are expecting the average turnover for a vehicle so 10 years more than covers most owners. Does me as this one was just 8 years. Hoping for a lot longer, because at my age, that means I live longer. :ROFLMAO:
