Middle seat access with car seat

We have a GW Series III on order and we will be retiring our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica which has been a terrific family vehicle. As excited as I am to get behind the wheel of our new ride, our minivan served us well with our littles. One of my favorite features in our Pacifica has been having the ability to easily access the third row with car seats in tact. Does anyone happen to know if the GW will have the same feature? This is one of the reasons that I really wasn’t interested in an Escalade as I didn’t like how one has to access the third row. Either way, this will be a short term issue for us. Our boys are now 8 and 7 and in backless boosters but the tilt feature to the second row seats would be great so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that third row access will be similar. Thanks in advance!

The outboard 2nd row seats tilt and slide forward by pressing a button near the headrest allowing a forward facing child seat to remain in place. See screen grab from YT video.

From what I understand, from some YouTube videos from people who have been able to look over the pre-production models they have been taking around, the middle seats look like they will be able to move forward even if there is a booster seat in the chair. I want to say the Grand Cherokee L also has this feature.

The Grand Wagoneer will have the large 2nd row middle console standard so the middle row will not be open. The Captains chairs have a button that slides them forward and should function fine with a car seat installed. The seat does lean/recline forward with the mechanism which may restrict your clearance to the 3rd row with a car seat installed to some degree.

You might already have your vehicle but yes the middle row will still slide forward with a car seat attached to it. Depending on carseat it may slide right forward so screen misses the seat as well. It does in ours anyways with a Diono seat.

We just purchased a Wagoneer Series 2 yesterday, we have 3 kids with 4th on the way. We opted for 2nd row bench instead of captain and its fantastic. We have a full size car seat for out 3 year old forward facing. And my simply pressing the button it folds forward with the car seat. Plenty of room to get the kids in the back in and out.
All 3 seats in 2nd row can move. The 2 outside have a button so you can get in the back. Its a good idea to adjust the settings to not allow that button to work when ignition is on. Our middle child accidentally pressed the button when we were parked and the seat moved forward with our youngest on there.

So it has the built-n ejector seat option, wow! 😅
