Infotainment System going wacky

In the last week my center console has been all over the place. Changing screens, activating buttons no one pushed and just not working right. All out of the blue. Was there an update that went out in the last 10 to 14 days I was not aware of? Is anyone else having these issues out of the blue? I have had my Grand Wagoneer since Feb of 2022 and have never seen this issue before with my truck. Any ideas gang?

Hi, I'm getting the same, and it looks like Google Android Auto did an update a few weeks ago. That interface for me now shows a couple of Media channels I never selected. I tried to change them, edit the system, etc. with no luck. About that same time I am getting settings changing, my dash now randomly beeps when I first start the vehicle up, no warning lights, etc. Additionally, the driver dash screen blinks simultaneously with the beeps and goes so fast, can't see anything but blackout and rapid return of my selected dash screen. Dealership is picking it up today for a maintenance oil change, so I also added the crazy UConnect activities to it.

Had mine since May of 22, this is the first its done this to me. It had been settled down for quite some time until now. Because it was fine, I haven't been tracking the UConnect versions, can't tell if there is a new load in the last few weeks or not.

Hi Jaftech,

We're aware of a couple software updates being released over-the-air recently! If you're still experiencing concerns and need assistance, please feel welcome to PM us and we can take further look into your vehicle information for you.

Hi Costa,

We're sorry you're noticing concerns with your Uconnect system as well. Have they been resolved since your last visit? If you need additional help, you're welcome to send our team a private message as well to discuss further.

For the purposes of the Forum members knowledge:

  1. I still get random starting screens in my UConnect console, GW3. When the system starts, who knows what will be the starting screen.
  2. I also continue to have random audio stops. Sometimes turning the console off and on again restores it, other times it requires a full reboot with the long recovery cycle. Not fun when also trying to navigate in a new area and you have to reboot to get navigation audio back.
  3. Extremely fast 'Service Shifter' dash beeps and flash with no alarm light remaining.
