GW3 May order

Hi! I ordered a GW3 May 9, 2021. I was given a “D” status in July with an “end of August” delivery date. VIN also confirmed. Come end of August, D1 status update, date was moved to end of September. End of September came, back to D status with no known build date or delivery date. VERY frustrating.

I ordered my Wagoneer Series II earlier this month so I'm way behind you guys. I did get my VIN but only know how to get updates by calling my salesman and having him check the computer. Is there a self-serve online site that I can use with my VIN to check my status? Does anyone know all of the codes along the way from "D" to being shipped, and what the codes mean?

I found this online for status

I’ll post the phone number - have to find it.

Starting August 30th, the new phone number for Wagoneer Client Services is 833-NO RIVAL (833-667-4825).

Yup, there seems to be a LOT of GW's that were built, sent to storage, and are now not going to ship anytime soon. They aren't being very forthcoming about why, only saying it's "due to supply issues." I was also told that a vehicle in JS status does not necessarily mean it is ready to ship.

I found out Sun that one of the guys whose GW S3 was sitting in storage, no longer had his name on the order. He had a completely new POC, complete with a whole new VIN.

Yesterday, I found out the same thing happened to my GW S1.

Both of us, and others we have heard from, are all the way back to D1 status. The concierge actually called me this morning to talk to me about this, which was odd, as I never ordered through the concierge. I ordered mine through a dealership. She told me they were sorry for the inconvenience, but they were working hard at getting the issue rectified, and I should see my vehicle next month.

Stellantis seriously needs to work on their communication with customers and their dealers. This has probably been the worst new vehicle roll out I have ever seen. The fact these are supposed to be luxury vehicles makes it even worse. No way would Cadillac or Mercedes treat one of their customers like this.

It’s very frustrating to say the least!! And the lack of communication it’s beyond ridiculous!!!!

Thanks for the phone number and code information. So my wife and I actually drove a Wagoneer Series III today! I'm in Keller, TX and I have been tracking the Wagoneers that show as In Transit online. My local dealer got two and still had one left. It was Black on Black 4x4 and loaded with the options, they were actually selling it at MSRP! If it had the HD trailer tow package I would have bought it. It had the 22" rims which I would have had to eventually swap out for more rubber for towing.

We did test drive it and it was fantastic! The 5.7 pulled her up on plane quickly, the ride was quiet, I test drive with the radio off. It felt stiff but the suspension was nicely tuned when going over the crappy roads around the Alliance airport warehouse district where all the 18 wheelers depart from. I had to pry my wife out of it! I have never experienced the heads-up display and that was really cool, I could see it fine even on a sunny day, I'm sure it would be even better at night. We didn't really have time to go through the full technology package but I think Jeep has nailed it.

I agree that Jeep is completely mishandling the rollout of an amazing vehicle. The lack of communication is atrocious, to say the least. The interesting thing is that all of the manufacturers are tight-lipped about the supply line and state of affairs. I wonder if the reason why is they don't want to make public how bad the situation really is out of fear of a stock price drop.

If you have the ability to wait, I think it is going to be worth it! Damn, COVID! :)

Same with my GWS3 order--supposedly waiting in storage for 2 months, now have a new VIN and all the way back to D1. But no concierge call, I called them after seeing your post. They read from a script but didn't say much.

I tried to by a loaded Escalade ($115,000) for six months. I dealt with five dealers, one of which was five miles from the Arlington, TX plant. They gave me dozens of different excuses: color, steps, Super Cruise, night vision, ect, ect. My local dealer happily gave me back my deposit. I think that was worse than this roll out.

Here it is a week after being told they were going to expedite re-building my GW S1, and it just went to framing. Supposedly will ship the 27th.

So did the first batch of GW get built wrong and they are all now either scrap or need to get reworked? That seems crazy to just start building everyone a new rig.

I ordered back in May a Grand Wagoneer Series III, two-tone Bright white and black exterior, Global Black Interior with heat-treated American Walnut wood interior accents. I reserved with the concierge and finished my order with my local Jeep dealership in Roanoke VA (the only one in town). Roanoke is a small town (about 300k people in the metropolitan area) in the western part of Virginia along the appalachian trail.

May 8th, 2021: Order reserved with concierge

May 17th, 2021: Order Finalized with my local dealer in Roanoke VA (given a time frame to expect delivery "sometime in the third quarter [aka July 1 - Sept 30], probably toward the beginning, but could be anytime in the third quarter".)

May 29th, 2021: Received an automated email "your wagoneer is headed to production" D status

Aug 7th, 2021: Local dealer sent out an email stating, exciting news, By the end of August, we will receive our very first Grand Wagoneer! What an incredible full-size SUV this is going to be for us! I encourage you and welcome you to stop by and see this vehicle in person!" - We stopped by on the last day of Aug, no vehicles were in. The internet sales manager said "Due to supply chain issues and chip shortages worldwide we have not received any Wagoneers yet. We have several pre-sold orders in queue and they are just starting to build those now. We are hoping to have units in stock to view in the next month or two!"

Sept 14th, 2021: NO status updates. Still at D status per concierge. Emailed dealer for an update, told to still expect the vehicle to be built by the end of September.

Oct. 1st, 2021: No updates, no contact from local dealer or concierge. I contacted the concierge line and explained how disappointed I was with their communication, and that the phone company should not allow them to have the phone number 1-833-NoRival, because it was a lie, they were providing anything but unrivaled luxury service and communication. Honestly, at this point I found the communication to be very very poor. The concierge line still said they had no updates, that "all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon." However, they did say that they would give me a weekly update, and at the time of writing this, they have kept up with this without prompting.

Oct. 7th, 2021: Concierge update: No new update, still status build status "D". "All of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process very soon. No Estimated Ship Date."

Oct. 14th, 2021: No new updates

Oct. 21st, 2021: moved to "D1" status with an estimated ship date. "An estimated ship date has been provided 11/02/2021" (which is 12 days from this email). I find it a little hard to believe that that will happen, but I guess I am hopeful. We'll see how it goes. My wife is very convinced that we will not be receiving the vehicle until after the new year.

It might could happen. I got sent back to D1 status with a whole new VIN on the 14th. Status finally changed to E (framing) on the 25th. Went to F (paint) yesterday and G (trim) this morning. It did have an est ship date of today, so I'm kinda doubting that is going to happen. Of course, it could possibly happen if the status updates are about 24 hours behind what is actually happening, meaning my vehicle could have gone to E on the 24th, F on the 25, and G on the 26th, with a possible KZ having been done today but the status just hasn't updated.

I'm hoping against hope though. I'll get an update in the morning and hope for the best.

That's encouraging, thanks! Man, that sucks about getting sent back to D1, why did that happen?
