Thanks to another user - this DTCM/TSB was recently released - outlining many of the woes with the 4wd system(s).

Everyone needs to get this done, and as was mentioned on Facebook by a dealer, it's now a Rapid Response Update that is to be applied to all vehicles when they're on the lot or in for service, regardless of any concern. So, just worth calling and scheduling it, no matter what.
