Has anyone used this yet in picking up their new GW/W from a dealership? If so, what was your experience?

I would if I could, but I can’t 😢. Mine is due in between last Saturday and the 19th.

I did see a GW3 this weekend at a park. I had such envy. This couple tried to order an Escalade but was told it could take up to a year (yikes!). So, like anyone else, they just meandered into the Jeep dealership and bought the GW3….and paid below MSRP!! 😳😳. I’m not going to say I’m jealous but…totally was. Anyway. I did a brief walk around. I didn’t see any trim alignment issues, paint swirls, or anything on the exterior that would be alarming. I asked a few probing questions and it seems like they haven’t encountered any issues 🤞🏻. No, I didn’t ask to see their build date - I’m odd but not a weirdo.
Also, they bought at a competitor Jeep dealer from mine so now I have some intel to haggle

Nice, good to see the trim and other exterior items appeared positive and same with their lack of problem commentary.

Hum, didn't know it was considered weird to ask about Build Date, maybe using Born On date like I do is OK? ;):ROFLMAO:

Always good to get insight on dealing. Did your dealership provide you a build sheet to sign and a pricing readout? Mine did, let me know FFP, Employee, etc. pricing since I started at their Invoice price on my offer. 😁 Looking forward to seeing how the 'Inventory only' incentive of 2k can we used for those of us who ordered.

Hope your vehicle arrives this Friday. Not that it would be a nice coincidence or anything with the day... Okay, not a 'Good' pun... :sneaky:

Updated list, originally from @Dwagoneer and @Dahammer plus many other members across the forum.

Updated list for recent members to use as well. Every one has been addressed with TSBs and CSBs, however if you are purchasing a vehicle that as already on the lot, the Dealer may not have done or been able to do those fixes. I combined the two lists above so we can keep a single post to print out and take with us when we get our new vehicles. 😁

Dealer Receipt Checklist
  • AMP Recall TSB completed - Battery Drain
  • Active Airbag Recall TSB completed
  • OTA Updates - Check for latest version in UConnect
  • Seat Heat Front and rear (all settings at least 5 minutes each)
    • Heated seats turn off in about 3 minutes for driver and 7 minutes for passenger
  • Rear Differential (drive in all 4x4 settings)
    • Air Suspension (grinding)
  • UConnect CarPlay Continuity
  • Windshield warp (TSB 23-015-22 released to fix this issue)
  • Fire TV Entertainment System (make sure remotes work)
  • Stereo hissing noise/static noise
  • Headliner vibration
  • Power seat elements all work, front and rear (plus heating and cooling)
  • HVAC - all zones (heat and A/C)
  • Check center console cooler (with beverage of choice)
  • Check back up camera
    • Digital rear view mirror
  • Media system loses sound and can't be recovered without power cycling the truck (not just the media unit)
  • Car Play loses connection randomly and doesn't want to reconnect til we power cycle the truck or cycle between connecting as audio device and car play device. This seems to occur most frequently when using the maps/nav feature of carplay.
  • Media screen flashes up a snapshot of a nav screen showing a previously followed route when Car Play gets a text message coming in.
  • Nav system which should stay in sync between main media screen, drivers info center, and HUD but doesn't.
    • Information on the driver screen will not show the same info (turn details) as the main screen. First pic shows driver screen indicating left turn, nav screen indicating right turn.
    • Second picture shows driver screen indicating "reached destination" but nav screen showing several miles to go.
  • Media screen shows "No internet signal" when car is turned on even though we just had a standard SXM station on previously.
    • Have to cycle through sources to get it to come back.
  • Media screen sometimes powers up with an Alexa message as seen in third pic.
    • Alex is setup but we don't actively use it in the truck and not sure why it powers up into Alex when the media unit is set to resume to the source/channel it had at power down.
  • Check active Park Assist, both Parallel and Perpendicular parking
  • Test Emergency / Parking Brake
  • Side Mirror dimming
  • Check folding mirrors for open/close positions
  • Crankshaft sensor (how do we check this?)
  • Confirm quilted seats in all rows
  • Check rear light for possible condensation issues
  • Foot motion trunk closing function
  • Open/close the rear hatch from the roof switch
  • Power side step functionality
  • Power Side Step software update: TSB 08-099-22, posted by Wagoneer Client Services (Thanks Kate!)
  • Check all trim for alignment (interior and exterior)
    • Check real wood interior trim and dash for scratches and nicks.
    • Check rims for face scratches and nicks on tires incurred during transport.
  • Check exterior paint and clear lens for scratches and swirl marks
  • Check passenger window screen for working order
  • Open the hood and check the motor oil level plus all fluid levels.
  • Check carpet for dirt, and stains under mats, especially driver side and from the 2nd row back that the edges of carpet don't show at side panels.
  • Check panoramic glass panels and windows are opening/closing correctly and rubber seals are correctly installed.
