Ceramic coating thread in Exterior

I have ceramic tint on the windows if that's what you mean,....body protection film is a completely different product, I don't think they have the same "ceramic" properties as tint. I have it on both my vehicles and am happy. With that said I don't think it's a huge difference over regular tint.

After re-reading I think you may be referring to ceramic coating...like a wax type product? I don't care for them but many do, I personally enjoy waxing my vehicles.

Thank you, I am looking at both the Ceramic tint on windows and the coating for the body.

What brand did you have applied, or did you go the DIY route?
Have you found it worked well with the snow/chemical melt over the winter? Easy to clean up?

Thanks!

I just have window tint.....not ceramic coating. If you're into detailing it's easy to apply a coating, the most important part is the prep work. I personally am sticking with sealants and carnuba waxes, but many swear by coating.

Thanks, good to know.

Any issues with Cell coverage? Some coatings seem to mention that as a possible concern with their competitor products. Considering how Sales/Marketing love to use Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt (FUD) I like to ask but only give it a little credence.

I've had full "ceramic" and 200 dollar tint jobs....I've had a lot of cars and honestly have never noticed any difference besides the quality of the application.
