Beeping noise in Jeep Grand Wagoneer

My 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer makes a beeping noise whenever I drive by the same things during my commute. I don’t think it is a warning about a traffic light camera, as the beeping happens sometimes when I’m not near a traffic light. Any ideas?

It sounds like one of the "speed alert" or "collision avoidance" warnings. Or perhaps a sensor alerting you to proximity. I found mine going off when covered with road spray/snow recently. Definitely try to look at your cluster IMMEDIATELY next time you hear it. It will tell you there what is beeping. Keep us updated. #InquiringMinds

You could also be going past businesses with motion sensor alarm systems. They have an interesting range you wouldn't expect. My current vehicle (ordered my GWIII last week) has the same thing when I drive by certain banks. I see the 'near vehicle' alert on the dash if I look fast enough. As DocSkip said, check it quick. You should be able to be prepared as you said it happens when you drive by the 'same things' on your commute. I doubt it is a local LEO (law enforcement officer) at the same spot each day. 😁 Some of the speed systems do the same thing, including automated speed check systems.

Was playing around in the APPS section today and "vehicle setup" - be sure to check the warning indicator options (braking; audible/alert) for side avoidance and front collision avoidance systems. I'm thinking this might be your issue.

I did some more poking around in settings, but this time went into the navigation settings and there was a setting to turn off camera notifications. That did the trick…no more beeping as I approach red light cameras.

Hmmmm. I'm going to have to look for this (though we don't have many Red Light camera's in our area). Thanks for sharing!

Now that I know the solution, I can comment. GW Series III. I had the Active Lane Assist, turn off as soon as I start driving, which obviously also means that Driver assist cruise control will not work. 3 loud beeps would go off periodically, loud enough to be quite startling, and weirdly it happened a lot approaching red lights! The service dept connected to the computer and found the wheel alignment showing 72 degree rotation...! They replaced the steering module, that did not solve it. They replaced the Rack and Pinion with the electronics module and that solved the issue. The loud beeping seemed to be happening near traffic lights because various sensors would activate, as they should, but when a signal went to the computer, the wheel alignment would trigger as a dangerous situation and therefore the ear piercing beeps. All is well now, no more beeps!

That beeping is the vehicle letting you know of red light cameras, speed cameras, radar and other official cameras…. If you have the navigation up on the screen; after hearing the beeps look at the screen, it will give you the distance countdown and location of whatever camera it is picking up…

Mine will beep when I approach places that used to have speed cameras but do not anymore. It seemingly alerts when entering any school zone and traveling 10mph above the school zone speed limit in which you are about to enter

Thank you for the scoop, I'll start digging into the manual now to see how to turn that stuff off. Ugh...
