Anybody have adaptive headlights?

Curious to know if any of you have noticed the headlights on your Grand Wagoneers moving with your steering wheel. I’ve had these on previous vehicles and always enjoyed them.

On Jeep’s website they list the feature:

“LED Lighting

Signature LED headlamps use an integrated electronic motor that rotates the lamp to offer light precisely where it's needed. Rear multi-element LED lights bookend a bold liftgate badge, using the dark to create a striking vision.”

I don’t see this actually happening. I had a Ram 1500 Limited with this feature (the headlight assembly looks very similar). On startup you’d see the headlights swivel back and forth and then they’d steer along with the headlights. All I can find in the vehicle is a cornering light option. Can’t find anything in the manual either.

Anyone find anything?

I've been trying to see the same thing, no joy. Two nights in a row taking trips on back roads at night (need to test Night Vision of course), not moving. Cornering lights are rather low powered but I do see them in the right situation.

I haven't found any training videos on the lights either. Pretty soon I'll have to get w/WCS to enlist their aid in researching this item.

When I noticed my high beams were not automatically adjusting my sales person had it set up for me when they picked it up for my ceramic coating. When she brought my vehicle back, it was operational. Probably something to set up in the vehicle menu.

Interestingly, there is no mention of motor-driven/moving headlights in the owner's manual...I have the cornering lights option, where a (fixed) light in the edge of the fog light will light up on one side if the wheel is turned or if the turn signal is active on that side.

@coolerbythelake have you had any updates on the headlight motion?

@Domshome when you say automatically adjusting, do you mean the auto high/low beam process or the headlights tracking as you turn? The auto high/low is a setting in UConnect, found that one buried in the lights menu. Still trying to find that function of moving headlights right and left when turning.

No updates. I may put Paige on it just out of curiosity but I suspect the feature didn’t make it into the final production model. It’s a bummer. They probably just failed to update the website.

Bummer, hopefully it is a SW item rather than the physical mechanics of moving the headlights. If they physical parts are installed, it makes me hold out hope we will possibly get it in a SW upgrade.

Yes, if I see a pile of horse manure I look for the pony, it has to be around here someplace! 😆

No adjusting that I know. Just the auto low to high. I have a W3 so not sure if mine is supposed to do what a GW does or not.

Okay, thanks for the update. Seems others have said no joy as well for motion headlights on either line. I'm just hoping the mechanics are in place so a SW upgrade later after the bug fix cycle slows down, an upgrade is all it will take for them to work as shown on the website originally.

Don’t want to dash your hopes, but I am pretty sure for the Grand Wagoneer, at least my Series lll, they are not adaptive. According to my Window sticker, they are “High Performance LED”. Just looking at them, the housing looks different from what I remember of my 2019 RAM Limited, which were adaptive.
