3 weeks in the shop.

Sadly, our Grand Wagoneer Series 3 fully loaded has been in the shop now for 3 weeks with no real end in sight. First the car died on us and then came the electronic issues with Uconnect that continues to turn itself off, heated seats that turn off, mirrors that don't retract and other things. They fixed everything except the Uconnect. They have replaced a wire and it still doesn't work properly. Now we are waiting for what to do next. We are beyond frustrated as they have given us a used Jeep Cherokee that my wife doesn't even want to drive. $111,000.00 and 3000 miles and now we have a car that has had the dash taken apart more than once, which I have a real problem with. Rattles and squeaks will surely be the result! I am really wanting a buy back, but we traded in our vehicle and there really isn't anything else out there to buy. After owning many Ram HD Diesel trucks that have been fantastic, I am so disappointed in the Grand Wagoneer and wish we would not have bought it!

@KDK2564 - presumably you have STAR Cases for your issues opened, right? AND, you've initiated a ticket w/ @WagoneerCxSvc

Have you initiated that conversation with @WagoneerCxSvc for buy back? @Stellantis has to be bleeding money at this point - I'm lowballing, but am certain at least a few hundred have successfully completed the buy-back at this point.

LIKE YOU - I was trying to complete buyback only to find NOTHING (Maine to FLA) available in lux market that was readily available or available with an egregious markup. I'm stuck for now but not giving up.

Yes, we have STAR case, and our client services person has been somewhat in tune with our problems, however we have not yet discussed the buyback option with him. I was told that the vehicle has to be in the shop for 30 consecutive days before a buy back could be initiated. Our dealer that is working on the truck just took delivery of one with all the options we have and the person who ordered has backed out of the deal. Not really sure how the buyback deal even works. ITs very disheartening to see our $111,000.00 vehicle with the dashboard in pieces! Waiting on STAR to tell them what to do next...23 days since we have been able to drive our car!

Interesting twist, have you asked the Dealer if he would also intercede on your behalf w/Stellantis and do the 1-1 swap with his inventory? It would also benefit the Dealership to do that for you. Just my thoughts...

That is what we are hoping for.

What’s the 1-1 swap? Exchanging for the same vehicle or something of the same price range? I’m also having issues so I’m curious.

KDK2564 mentioned the Dealership where the GW is being repaired happened to receive an exact copy of his vehicle. The suggestion is after all this work/time on the original vehicle, maybe the Dealership and Stellantis will be able to provide KDK2564 the recently arrived GW and take the one under repair. Making it a 1 for 1 exchange, keeping KDK2564 happy, the Dealer happy since they already paid for both vehicles and Stellantis gets another one to deep dive for root cause of the problems. Hope that helps!
