2400 mile trip feedback/review

MPG: Excellent, averaged 21.5 (hand calculated)

Ride: Great, very comfortable the entire way

Uconnect 5: Fricking horrible! Disconnected from phone at random while running Waze, using my phone mostly we went to switch to the wife and her phone just up and disappeared. Somehow it deleted itself. The entire system randomly buzzes and reboots (to be fair my 2022 Ram does the same thing). Truck and Wagoneer have the same Sirius package yet the truck can get channel 3020/3030 but the Wagoneer does not go that high?

Wireless Charger: Complete waste of time and just a source of frustration, the charger would work for a while then just quit regardless of orientation. Once I would stop for gas and restart the vehicle it worked for a while again and then stopped.

Wagoneer App: Finally started receiving updates as soon as the "free trial" was over and the wife paid for the connected services (suspicious). Told the customer service about its behavior and mentioned they are not making a good impression with the app during the free period and they probably lucked out she got the offer to renew it versus me. She basically said thank you for the feedback and sorry it did not work...

Upon return to our home, we unloaded the Wagoneer and then went to the store. The Wagoneer collision warning was going off as it normally does pulling out of the garage. IT NEVER SHUT OFF even after I stopped the vehicle and shut off the engine. Just kept signaling (audible), had to start it and go through setting ti shut off the safety equipment before it stopped.

We did get a chance to test drive a diesel GMC Denali and can assure you out time with this buggy Wagoneer is limited, thinking we are going to go shopping next year and jump this MOPAR ship with all these gremlins running around in both vehicles. Was hoping the change in ownership of the MOPAR line would improve its quality but all we see is bugs at the moment and failed promises with the Wagoneer. @WagoneerCxSvc

Excellent review!

I'm approaching one year of ownership and 20K miles on a WSIII, I agree with your assessment completely. I get decent mileage, excellent ride, and mine has also been fine mechanically. I have an excellent dealer that has assisted me in updating whenever available. I've been to the dealer 6 or 7 times for different updates which I believe is important in preventing some of the many problems others have encountered.

Uconnect a disaster. Continual disconnect, dropped calls, intermittent weather, can not ever depend on it working. I have reset it so many times I'm afraid I'll wear out the buttons. Unfortunately, my wife, and others that use my car are not familiar with the reset process and get discouraged with the lack of function. My grandchildren can't get the rear screens to consistently work and I still can't believe the default is on and not dark screens.

Fit and finish is decent but I don't feel the materials are really up to "luxury" standards. There is an awful lot of plastic that mars and scuffs easily. The perforations in the seats are impossible to keep clean. The ventilated seats don't seem to do much. Air conditioning cool but not cold.

Overall, if you're a die hard Jeep fan you'll probably love this platform and be able to overlook all of the flaws. There are just too many unnecessary gimmicks and not enough emphasis on perfection.

I'm also preparing to jump ship too. There are foreign built SUV's that are actually luxury. If towing is necessary the GM SUV's seem like a much better value.

I used to have terrible issues with the unconnect and the phone charger. I haven't had any issues for about 2 months now since an update

The biggest issue I have seems to be with car play. Just about every time my phone leaves the car I have to unconnect and then reconnect in order to play pandora. Navigation has gotten much better. CarPlay doesn't seem to care if I use bluetooth or wired connection.
