Took delivery on Series III Wagoneer HELP PLEASE!

We ordered a Series III Grand Wagoneer back in March and when we went to pick it up from the dealership on Friday night, it was ordered as a fully loaded Series III Wagoneer. Ugh- My heart sunk as we had decided 2 years ago to order a GW when Jeep first started disclosing its intention to bring the Wagoneer back.

So my husband and I were in a pickle. For tax reasons, we needed to purchase a car before the end of the year, so even though it wasn’t what we had ordered, we opted to go ahead and keep it. What I will say is that the Wagoneer is amazing. The ride is terrific and there are so many features, I’m still learning them all! At this point, we are trying to decide if we are going to go ahead and order a Grand Wagoneer Series III and sell this one after the new year with just a few thousand miles on it or keep this onE. I did a little research to try to establish the major differences that would matter to me after driving this Wagoneer and it really has come down to a few things:

1. No power folding mirrors: To me, this is crazy. My 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited minivan has power folding mirrors that had a sticker price of almost half of this Wagoneer.
2. Rear back up camera: I may not be finding the settings to change this to the 360 view but my minivan has this and I can’t forego it. I love the 360 camera. Can anyone help that might know if mine is equipped and how I find the setting to change it? On my van, in reverse I can change it right on the screen but that isn’t an option on the Wagoneer.
3. There are no sunshades in the back on this Wagoneer which again seems insane at this price point. My van has them in both the second and third rows.
4.The one thing that I wasn’t really considering in the GW that makes me wonder whether or not to keep this one is the second row seating. Now that we have it, I like having the walk thru in between the second row captains chairs in the Wagoneer. Can someone tell me if the GW only comes standard with the console in between the 2nd row captains chairs? Don’t get me wrong, the console is amazing but we have a 7 and an 8 year old so I can already envision them walking over it to get something out of the back row.

Random questions: Where is the fuse panel for the sunroof? I have to take it back to the dealership tomorrow as the sunroof and sunshade won’t work. I suspect it is a fuse and was going to try that first before making the jaunt back to the dealer tomorrow. I tried looking at the fuse panel under the hood but it doesn’t match what is in the owners manual and what is listed on the diagram. My Dad is a retired mechanic who thinks that there are several fuse panels on the car.

The alarm keeps going off. It’s happened three different times and twice, the car wasn’t locked and the key fob was in the car. Opened the back hatch and the alarm went off. I can’t figure it out.

For those still waiting, the car is amazing. It drives like a luxury car. Moving from a minivan which I loved, I was concerned about third row access which was terrific in our Pacifica. In this car with the running boards and second row tilted seats, it is even easier to get in and out of. My Dad is 75 and he walks with a cane due to a stroke and he got in and out of the third row with ease. For those of you mamas with small kids in car seats and booster seats, these Wagoneers will smoke the competition with access to the third row. The second row seat tilts just like my Pacifica but the Wagoneer also slides forward while tilted which is super.

Thanks in advance for your insight and help to my questions.

Perhaps someone with a functioning brain from Stellantis will expedite adding power folding mirrors as standard for the Wagoneer, at least the Series 11 and 111.

Hi there, we purchased the Wagoneer series 3 just 10 days ago and I will say that I too was also surprised that the car doesn't come with power folding mirrors. I was also surprised to see that we didn't have the 360 camera. From what I can tell now after purchasing the car the 360 camera is not standard on all series 3 models and in fact I believe only comes if you have the heavy duty tow package. We were disappointed to realize that ours also does not have the sun shades in the backseat as other series 3 models that we test drove had them. We love our Wagoneer, however it has already been back to the dealer for a battery charging issue, a chip that came on the front passenger screen, a rattle in the headliner, and a piece not completely installed in the rear seat entertainment system. The car was at the dealer for 5 days. We have had it back since Friday and we will have to take it back into the dealer again now because the oil pressure light is coming on and now there is a problem with the front left fog light flickering off and on. When my husband turned off the fog lights to avoid the flickering the right fog light turns on when we turn the steering wheel to the right. We are feeling very frustrated at this point. We understand that this is a new launch and there's bound to be a few bumps in the road, but feeling overwhelmed right now.

The right fog light comes on when turning right and the left fog light comes on when turning left---this is a safety feature to allow the driver to see better when turning at night.

The Wagoneer series III gets the 360 camera and 2nd-row manual window shades with the Convenience Group Package. Most likely your Series III has the Premium Group without the Convenience Group.

It's also interesting to note that the Premium Group and Cnvenience Group are completely different in the Series II.

Please report back on...
  1. What the source of the problem turns out to be with your sunroof. Hopefully, it is just a fuse.
  2. What the resolution is to the alarm unexpectedly going off.
Best of luck.

I originally Thought that too but our dealer insists that this Wagoneer was ordered fully loaded. here is a SS of the actual dealership order placed back in March. It shows the convenience package Included. We definitely have the Hd tow package but there is no safe. It’s all so random. Does anyone here know if Jeep changed its packages for the Wagoneer right after launch? I feel like we paid for features we never did get on the car.

My sunroof and left front headlight were both loose fuses. I was taken care of in 20 minutes with issues fixed.
I follow some wrangler groups and they all say to open the fuse box on the new purchases and make sure all of them are fully seated. Many are finding that they are coming from the factory not fully seated, leading to issues. Sounds like we may need to do the same for the Wagoneers.

I had a half finished post and then got distracted where I was going to say the same thing, which is that I've read on Wrangler forums to immediately check for partially seated fuses. Must be a Jeep right of passage to check your fuses.

The 2022 GW only comes standard with that monstrous 2nd row center console (unless you get the 2nd row bench seat option). I too wanted the GW, but this was a deal breaker for me. The lack of a center console really opens up the interior significantly. All the competitors (Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Escalade and Expedition/Navigator) have a 2nd row center console delete option (aka "Pass Through") on all models and trim levels. I wager Jeep will offer this at some point, possibly by 2023 MY. These models are brand spanking new, so the shortcomings are evident.

That's super F'ed up! The website currently confirms the $2,195 Convenience Group includes the 360 Surround-View Camera and 2nd-Row Manual Window-Shades and the $1.495 Heavy-Duty Trailer-Tow Package includes the Locking In-Vehicle Safe. You 100% paid for these add-ons - Jeep must make it right. I would start by demanding they install those options ASAP otherwise demand a $3,690 refund. Can you post a copy of your window sticker - that should specifically itemize every single option that the Groups included.

Out of curiosity, who gave you that pic of the order (POC)? The reason why I ask, is because you had said that the vehicle was ordered for you; however, the pic of the order you showed is for a dealer order, not for a customer. We would need to see the POC from when you ordered, which would have the VIN on it so you could make sure that what you are looking at is the same vehicle as what is on the POC. It would also have your name and address on it, as it was ordered for you.

When we were able to start ordering these, we could only order the vehicles a certain way. There were no packages to choose from. I don't even think the ability to order with specific packages was available until about May or June. It may not have been part of the pre-planned package when it was ordered?

I have an idea on how you can verify if you received the Series III Convenience group, in addition to the 360 Surround-View Camera it also comes with
  • Drowsy Driver Detection.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition.
  • Parallel and Perpendicular Park-Assist with Stop.
  • and the Intersection Collision Assist System.
In the manual, you can find the settings to enable or disable these 4 features in the Uconnect system. If you cannot find the settings for these 4 features in your Uconnect settings then I think that would verify that you didn't receive the Series III Convenience group package. I came up with the above 4 bullet points from my above screenshots. I got those screenshots from Jeep.com and going through and building a Series III Wagoneer. I want to help you get to the bottom of this and I know you are frustrated but I need to throw this out there as well. I suspect that you might not have the HD trailer tow package as well. The reason why I'm saying this is because if you go through the Jeep.com builder for a Wagoneer Series III the only package that includes the Locking In-Vehicle Safe is the HD Trailer Tow package! You said that you also don't have the console safe. If you truly have the HD Trailer Tow package then you should be able to find the following in your Uconnect system.
  • Trailer-Brake Control
  • Trailer-Hitch Line-Up Assist
  • Trailer-Hitch Zoom
If you can or cannot find these 3 items in Uconnect, using your manual on where to find them in the settings, then that would verify if you do or do not have the HD Trailer Tow package.

NOTE - When looking at what is available in these packages you have to make sure you are building a Wagoneer and not a Grand Wagoneer and that it is a Series III and not a II. These packages change based on those differences and you stated you ended up going with the Wagoneer Series III which is what I'm basing all of this on.

A side note on my dealership experience and very confusing packages. I recently test drove a Series III and the salesman told me it had the HD trailer tow package. I was going through the Window sticker feature list and pricing and it was not listed. The pricing matched perfectly to the features listed which did not include the HD trailer tow. The salesman was super nice and I think an honest guy and he wanted to verify on his computer. We went in and he pulled up a screen after typing in that VIN and was pointing to a line that said HD trailer tow package, that text was on the left while all the other features were on the right. He was convinced it had it while I knew it didn't based on the window sticker and price. He eventually got the sales manager and was able to confirm that vehicle did not have the HD trailer tow, I would have most likely purchased that vehicle if it had it!

Regardless, I hope I'm wrong and you have the HD Trailer Tow along with all of the other features in the Series III convenience group. Let me know what you find out.

Quick context- We have done business for years with the dealership. Back in 2019, the owner at the dealership was telling me that the Grand Wagoneer would be coming and it would be a game changer for Jeep. From that point forward, every time we would see the owner or would take one of our other vehicles in for service, we have been asking when can we order. I then was given a preview date in early March to place an order. Before I placed the order through the website, I called the dealership and the owner told me that he just ordered two fully loaded GW's and he'd mark the white one as sold to us (it's a super small town dealership so I'm sure that the "mark the white one as sold" was done internally at the dealership and not thru Jeep). Later that day, I sent him some screen shots of the Grand Wagoneer Series III configuration I wanted in an effort to confirm we were talking about the same car and he sent me that SS of the order he placed and told us it was the same as what we were planning to order through the website anyway. So, as mentioned, we were under the impression that we were getting a GW Series III fully loaded and instead, a Wagoneer Series III fully loaded was ordered. I'm just trying to get clarification of the missing options. The screen shot shows the convenience package was ordered but the car doesn't have those options. The one we have was ordered the day ordering become available in early March so I was just curious if Jeep added features or package configurations after our order was placed. I guess at this point it really is moot. We went ahead and bought the car and overall I really like it. The no console in the second row has turned out to be a good thing with our kids. The only thing I really miss is the 360 camera.

I know in the beginning, before the configurator was available online in May, when you ordered a Wagoneer or a Grand Wagoneer, there wasn't any options you could choose from. All of the vehicles we could choose from were already pre-configured. Even when I ordered mine through the dealer in mid-April, there was only 1 way I could get the Series 1. I couldn't add any packages, as there weren't any to choose from.

I'm annoyed in the fact that the GW S1 doesn't have the famcam. Online, the configurator even says it is not available, yet someone showed me they were able to add a convenience package when they ordered a few months ago, and it has the famcam. The Wagoneer order site sucks.
