New Wagoneer Series 3 Problems... Anyone else?

My husband and I purchased a Wagoneer Series 3 with Quadra trac 2 just 10 days ago. We love our Wagoneer, however it has already been back to the dealer for a battery charging issue, a chip that came on the front passenger screen, a rattle in the headliner, and a piece not completely installed in the rear seat entertainment system. The car was at the dealer for 5 days. We have had it back since Friday and we will have to take it back into the dealer again now because the oil pressure light is coming on and now there is a problem with the front left fog light flickering off and on. When my husband turned off the fog lights to avoid the flickering the right fog light started turning on when we turn the steering wheel to the right. We are feeling very frustrated at this point. We understand that this is a new launch and there's bound to be a few bumps in the road, but feeling overwhelmed right now and starting to worry what may be next. Anyone else having issues?

My Ram 1500 Laramie's left fog light came on when turning left & the right fog lamp came on when turning right; this feature was to allow the driver to better see at night when turning. This feature seems to be included for the Wagoneer.

Sorry for your experience. This could be why Stellantis was putting the first two months of production in storage and why orders from eight months ago are still unfulfilled. It could also be why some members of this forum are reporting that their built but unshipped orders are now being rebuilt. The longer my seven month old order goes unfulfilled the more apprehensive I am about purchasing the vehicle if and when it arrives. The lack of information from the company is very frustrating and concerning. It will be interesting to see if others are having similar issues. I hope your problems get resolved.

Thank you for the kind words. We hope that this will be it after getting these issues resolved but I can understand why you would ne apprehensive and hoping for you they have all issues resolved prior to completing your order. I will also say that my husband and I are also discouraged in the concierge service that is promised with these vehicles. It may be different in other areas, however our dealership is still not set up to provide this service. We had to bring our Wagoneer to the dealer and were given a much smaller rental that landed up having expired tags; not the Wagoneer equivalent you are told you will receive with the concierge service. You may want to check with your local dealership to see if they have this all in place before receiving your car. I know these dealerships have known this was coming so not sure why this wasn't set up yet. Best of luck!

Thank you. I think I already know the answer and I share your concern at our local dealership. They aren't even aware of the 10 customer promises that Wagoneer has had on their website since March let alone have a "Certified Wagoneer Ambassador with 90 hours of training" on site. I am baffled that a company would put out all this high-minded copy about this unbelievable customer experience they are going to provide and then make absolutely no attempt to follow through on it. I realize this is a crazy time in the auto industry but these are things that the company has control over.

You need to contact the concierge and open a ticket. Don't try to just take the dealerships word.

You're the best!! Thank you!
Good luck. Keep us informed. Those of us with Waggoneers on order are going to be interested in how it goes. I know that with it being a brand new vehicle for them, there would likely be growing pains. Hopefully, they are minimal.

Hey all, I just wanted to add that I too had a battery issue the very day I bought it. I drove it off the lot about 5-10 miles to my aunt's house ( I had to drive 3 hours to get it at MSRP ) and parked it in her driveway. After playing around trying to get the screen tech stuff working (a separate issue with that which I'll put in another post) for about 30 minutes with the car off and on here and there I eventually talked to the dealership about the tech issue and they asked if I could bring it by. I went to start it and it was dead, wouldn't start at all. The dealership drove over and jumped it then took it back to the dealership to replace the battery. The tech made a comment along the lines of "I shouldn't say this but... the batteries Chrysler puts in their vehicles aren't always good." I can't speak to any of that but I can say I was disappointed that the battery needed replaced on the first day not 1 hour after leaving the dealership.

On the battery issue, I bought my current Ram 1500 Longhorn EcoDiesel brand new on Memorial Day weekend in 2015. The truck was actually built in Jan of 2015. I still have the original battery in my truck, going strong.

Either you weren't leaving the vehicle on long enough to charge back up while messing with the screens, which can suck some juice down btw, or you may have just had a bad battery.

Did they test the alternator to make sure it was putting out the correct voltage?Attach files

So just to update everyone. This is now the second week in a row that I’ve gone to start the car and the battery has died. Last week I spent an hour in the car working on setting up the back entertainment screens etc.… And when I jumped in the car an hour later the battery was dead. My husband slow charged the battery overnight and it was working fine until tonight when I got in the car the battery is now dead. We will be making a call to dealership in the morning to see what we can do.

We have a couple of issues to bring up with the dealership. Now when you open the front drivers door the door handle sticks open. The door will not close all the way unless you push the door handle in manually. Occasionally the oil light comes on as well but when we look everything for the levels are fine. Starting to feel frustrated but hoping to get all of the kinks worked out because over all the car is amazing .

Quick update for you. After becoming a giant paperweight in my garage, Roadside assist getting it started, engine warnings everywhere, I went to the garage today while on the phone with the dealer and started it up - no engine lights. The trouble codes still show up on the ODB reader but probably because I didn't clear them yesterday at the request of the dealer. Also, the SOS system is not working and neither is the connected services so there are still issues. They wanted to flatbed it today to the dealership but we're waiting until Monday (especially since the loaner is a tiny Jeep Cherokee- not even Grand). The dealer has no available Grand Cherokee L's. We were their first sale for the Wagoneer and they sure talked up the red carpet service and the fact that we would ALWAYS be in a minimum replacement of a Grand Cherokee L. Well, they are not holding up their end of that. The pickup/drop-off service is good though. Honestly, I don't think the dealerships are prepared to deal with the Wagoneer issues and certainly don't have enough equivalent loaner vehicles. Sorry for the long comment. I hope your situation improves.

Please let us know how your trip to the dealer goes. I think these vehicles have serious electrical or computer issues.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having troubles as well. We too are also having difficulties with the dealership and the supposed concierge service. So far we’ve had to pick up and drop off our vehicle and we were also given a smaller jeep as a rental. They definitely are not prepared. I’m really hoping they can work these issues out soon so we can start enjoying these beautiful cars.

With ours likely to arrive mid to late December, I'm keeping an eye on these threads. On the battery, sounds like they have a parasitic draw of some kind they need to deal with.

Or they are letting the battery run down too far and not running the vehicle long enough to charge it back up to a decent charge. There is a lot of electronics on these things. Even with it off, it's still going to be drawing a little power form the battery.
