Wagoneer Series 2 Right Rear Tail Lamp and Homelink issue

We have had our Waggy for 2 weeks now and my wife loves it. So far only 2 small issues and they occur at the same time consistently. In the morning the Homelink button will not work and she has to use her "old" O.H. door button. During this same time the right rear tail lamp does not work and she gets a message on the dash for it. Usually by the afternoon the turn signal is operable and the homelink button magically works again. I find it very odd that these 2 separate issues are so systematically connected. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the solution? Our dealer is aware of it and we are waiting for it to fail more consistently. I'm afraid to drop it off with the technicians only for them to go on a treasure hunt trying to replicate the issue.

Something that would be fairly easy to check is to make sure all of the fuses are seated/pushed in all the way. Several of the RAM heavy duty truck folks have reported odd issues that have been resolved by doing this. I have a RAM 3500 and, when I checked, noticed that some of my fuses were not seated all the way. I have not checked our Wagoneer S3.

@TylerBurich let us all know if working the fuses to ensure they are fully seated works!

I reseated the fuses under the hood and situation is same. I will try with the in cabin fuse panel today. The issues are definitely tied together. Everything else works in the vehicle. Once the right turn signal starts to work the homelink button operates perfectly.

I reseated the fuses under the driver side dash, and in the rear cargo area. Still having the right rear tail light issue. I believe it is failing consistently enough to have the dealer check it out now. I will keep you all posted.

Thanks for this update. If you have a challenge with the Dealership, remember you can tag the Wagoneer Client Services team on this forum, they will help out.

Dealer had the Waggy all day yesterday. They had a code for low battery voltage so they charged and retested battery, battery tested good. They had an error code for the bcm as well. The circuit didn't hold load so they replaced a connector. After that, no more code. Turn signal functioned perfectly on our way home last night, as did the homelink button. Hope this helps anyone else having similar issues.

Thanks for the update, that is a strange one. Glad they got it straightened out for you. (y)
