Meet Wanda! God I love her! She’s sporty and comfortable, loud but quiet, elegant yet feisty.

Worth the wait.

She was born 3/29/22 at 9pm.

So far I’m very pleased, there are a few items that will be addressed but the dealership is doing a great job.

1) I have the windshield warp

2) The drivers seat left thigh bolster air bladder does not inflate

3) A cosmetic issue on the glovebox

4) Rear TV’s aren’t accessible through the front screens (there’s a TSB out for this)

I think these are all relatively small issues so far that will get resolved.

A couple things I thought were defective ended up being user error. Speaking of which, @GWDailyDriver, if you pull up from the bottom of the temperature switch it will make the temperature go up, it’s designed that way. I did the same thing.

That’s it for now!

I too am overwhelmed by all the technology and haven’t had the time to really dive into the owner’s manual.
Nice Ride! Black pocket rims too, make the ride quieter. You are right, the amount of tech in this babies is unreal. Loving it, keep finding new functions every day except the one I'm looking for at the time. That usually takes 10 minutes to find. 😅

I have the windshield warp as well, debating having all the electronics and resealing done versus the factory alignment and seal. It isn't a bother so far for me, and the wife nor best friend have noticed it (I stay silent to get the true feedback instead of a suggested distortion report).

It really is great, looks fantastic! Congratulations on Wanda!

Meet “Pearl”! What a gem of a vehicle! Absolutely in love with our new ride! So far so good…working on those 500 local miles;) Such a luxurious beast!
Welcome to the group 'Pearl'! I'm sure you are finding the 500 miles an easy 'chore' to do, the ride is great! Enjoy all 500 plus!

Got my new toy. So glad I went a tiny bit bigger than the small 5’ x 7’ utility trailer I showed up at the dealer to Iook at originally 😂

It drives so effortlessly with the trailer. The engine is like “oh did you hook up something light I didn’t even feel it.” I’m going to get into so much trouble at the hardware store this weekend.
Glad you got that bigger trailer. Sure you don't want an even bigger one? I think I'll feel a bit cramped in it, no windows either... Hum... giving me a hint to not swing by? 😢🤣🤣

Man, I'm dying from laughter. Seeing him and 72 cousins being hauled for Christmas Vacation. Hahahahaha

Thank you Costa! I have 388 miles in and I love Wanda!

I know what you mean, the warp in my windshield is very subtle, I almost think it’s not worth the risk of getting a replacement.

What do you mean when you say “debating having all the electronics and resealing done versus the factory alignment and seal.”? Can you please elaborate.

You’re right, the car is super quiet. My wife keeps falling asleep in the front seat because it’s so relaxing on the turnpike. Also, the kids want to live in the back lol! I need to get covers for the TV’s and limit them to long trips only but I’ve been letting them enjoy for the first week (6 days only).

It’s such a spectacle too. There is not another one around our area so people are seeing it for the first time asking questions.

The Wagoneer app has been working fantastic for me too, always updates real time. So far so good! I want to drive it back to the mid west (8 hour drive) but want to get at least 500 miles on her before we take her on a long trip, but I’m very comfortable with the idea… and so is my family lol!

Any quirks or findings with yours (or anyone’s) so far?

I’ve been messing around with the settings because there are so many options. I like the auto parking brake and auto retract side mirrors; just recently added the suspension dropping when you put it in park feature.

One quirk it seems is sometimes when I approach her with the key in my pocket, the power step goes down and other times it doesn't. Also, sometimes I can push the part of the door handle area to make it lock and it locks and other times it does not.

Serious stuff lol.

I have some things, as I mentioned in my last post that need to be addressed but I don’t want to part with Wanda to get them repaired!

One thing that has been working (knock on wood), that I expected issues with, is the UConnect connectivity with my Apple phone. No issues!

Also, I love the Driver Assist; it literally drives itself!

That’s my rant for now, happy Wagoneering!!!

Hi, Sorry for the late reply, I've been on a business trip, you know, 18-20 hour days, the norm of course... 😁 The hillarious part, I had that feeling hit for a bit like I was the badest one driving down the road, HEMI gurgling ready to eat anyone for lunch (yeah, in a 3.2 Ton beast, LOL). Just a fun feeling, not having to prove anything about its speed (as I have tried it and wow, for this size, wow). Sanity hit of course when all the sports cars blew by me going about triple number speeds. 🤣

As for the comment about Electronics for windshields, I'm referring to the fact the water sensors for wiper blades are resident in that black box area behind the rear view mirror. Also other things in there for scanning the road ahead, temp sensing for the heated wipers if you have that feature, etc. Those are electronic items that need to be moved to the new windshield, and since most companies include road alignment sensors in it, making sure they line up properly on the windshield is important. The Seal comment I know you understand, referring to the standard bead of sealing materials they use to lock the windshield in place, not talking about a special electronics box seal process. Of course sealing is always a roll of the dice, depending on the company used and employee skill/knowledge. :)

I have a quirk that I experienced on this latest 500mi plus round trip: lower screen on the center console. Sometimes just shifting to Drive made it go blackout. Can't get it back on, yet I discovered by accident how to turn it on. I shift to D, if it is off I flip to R for a second with foot still on the brake, then put it back to Drive. Viola' it lights up and works fine. So as you mentioned, my world is over, I can't go on, it just has to be fixed yesterday darn it.

I haven't had the Step issue you mentioned, haven't been playing with the door locking process either so I'll try that this weekend. Might have another long drive so if anything else happens, I'll make a note. My last trip I found the ACC (Cruise) worked extremely well. Loved it, saved my right leg from cramping up after 4-5 hours driving. Haven't tried the Driver Assist, reviews said it was a bit aggressive so I thought I'd wait for a few more updates this year, get on a road with very few people on it (a few interstates actually are less traveled than others), then see what happens.

As for the passengers, it's almost so bad I have to pay people to get OUT of my ride! My Best Friend reluctantly got out after his first ride at lunch. He only got out because he was hungry and I didn't have food in the console fridge. 😅 Priorities you know...

Glad your family is enjoying it, they are sweet rides!

On the main screen I have the home set to the “3” cluster with nav in the right, radio upper left and all 3 camera shortcut on bottom right. A few times now the radio will still be on the right channel and playing, but the artist and song name reverts to “unknown.” We discovered if you hit the right button on the top of that menu (the box with an arrow) and then change the output method (I use Sirius almost exclusively and change it FM) the when you go back it rights itself. Minor nuisance and not enough for me to get my panties in a wad over.

Have any of you tried the automatic parking? I did it once and the control freak in me hit the brake and overrode it immediately. I swear it looked like it was going to hit the car right next to the parking spot. Once I got talked of the ledge into just letting it do it’s thing, I found it to be neat. Doubt it is anything I’ll use often, but might make for a nice parlor trick. 😂

Parking Assist was something I had to try right away. Almost had the same heart attack as well, but I let it roll and it hit the brakes hard. Whew! Thought I was about to have an accident that was my fault, it would have been my first one ever. My fault that is, had one person not know how to stay awake and cross a 4 lane highway just to wipe out my Trans Am in 83. Ouch...

As for the Park Assist, I did the back in routine. Haven't had the chance to try the parallel parking routine yet or head in parking. I think I'll find a large parking lot and try it where I know I have room. 😁

Got this in the mail today. There’s a kind of poetic irony that it arrives while my car is at the dealer waiting for parts. But oh well, it’s a nice sentiment. I’m enjoying driving with my imagination in the meantime, Jim 😂. Jim hopes we’re out there having wild adventures - and we do when our cars work - but it’s been this forum that has definitely been my favorite part of my Wagoneer adventure so far. The sarcasm and fun from a forum, mutually commiserating together has been amazing. I really enjoy all you guys and gals!

On a side note, it’s always weird for me to see a letter/non-bill addressed to “Gregory” and not “Greg.” Only some family and really old friends call me Gregory. It makes me feel like I’m in trouble (in everyone’s defense, I do get in trouble quite often 😂).

That truly is irony. BTW, I don't understand that sentence about the forum in the first paragraph. Who would do such things? Oh yeah, G R E G O R Y !!! :ROFLMAO:

On a serious note, I do hope they find the issue fast so you can get back on the road enjoying your ride.

Okay, I promised pictures of my ride, so here is the update and teaser...

I'm getting a new outfit for the CWagon, full front PPF (Yes @LERISI you convinced me to go Xpel) along with the windshield and three sun roofs. Gold Package Ceramic Pro 9H for the entire vehicle and also going with Crystalline 50 tinting for all windows except windshield (Illegal in my State below the A1 line). Wheels and all are getting the Ceramic Pro treatment, so with all the new 'clothing', I'll be able to pop out some pictures. Might even take them in the shop before I get in and drive away!

I’m really not sorry I canceled a Yukon Denali XL that we ordered her in November. 6 more months for it and all kinds of things were going to be missing like heated wheel, parking assist, live rear view mirror, heated seats, seat blower fan, no rear entertainment system, on and on week by week. It was going to be a stripped down truck. The Grand Wagoneer is missing nothin, add cooler in the console, massage front seats, night vision, McIntosh 1325 watt stereo…..on and on, no comparison.

Okay, I promised to provide photo(s) so here are a couple. Just know, I have too much fun driving to stop and take pictures. :ROFLMAO: Here are some, first at the Detailer who just finished the Ceramic Pro Platinum and Xpel PPF full front job. Some of the black clearcoat was obviously taken down as they do the pre-coating work buffing it out for any possible swirls, etc. Then the final picture at the house, and it finally, Finally looks blue, after the change done with the ceramic coating/PPF.

Hurrah!

Looks a little different in the last picture, almost like a different car, is it the lighting?
